Unless they have all squad members from me1 and me2 all playable in squad 100% not just a side mission.

But its likely some peoples favourites will be left out and only popular characters will be in it.

nah, thane should be dead no matter what, he only had a couple months left, even less at functional health levels. ME3 takes place months later. boom, he's gotta be dead.

All the characters will be in the game in some fashion, I'm willing to make a large bet on that. But I agree that most will be either temporary squaddies or NPCs like Wrex. The non-LI squaddies from ME2 will probably fit that description. Grunt, Mordin, Kasumi/Zaeed, Legion, etc.

Yes, it's totally impossible. Also, it limits the freedom to write characters. If Bioware give different endings or screen time to every LI, they have to be prepared for fan rage. I think they should write each character as they liked, with differences and maybe deaths, but the fear of disappointment it's too high.

People is going to complain, no matter what. I think they know that, so I hope they focus in making the best game ever instead of making everyone happy. That's impossible.

It states that Thane "could" opt for a transplant, but he's turned it down for some reason.

Reconnecting with his son could be a good reason to try to save himself.

That being said, yes - ragers gonna rage.

I can some what agree but going by fan input they can go for the best route for this, I for see ALLOT of ME2 people not coming back, Jack, Thane, Jacob etc etc case really in the end people did not contact to them all that well, Were as Garrus and Tali have been with us since game 1 so chances are they will be given allot of work just out of loyalty to the character.

As someone who preferred the ME2 squadmates, I know I'm going to be disappointed in some capacity. But as long as we get some face time with everyone, I'll be content.

Giving Jacob a chance to shine in the Alliance and letting us go on a critical mission with him? Sounds good. Writing him off entirely as a joke character? No.

Giving Thane a treatment option, or at least letting us say goodbye? Okay. Declaring him dead and giving us an email? No.

Of course, these are worst case scenarios listed. I have faith in Bioware, and I know they'll be able to pull this off.
