Well lets see:

If the Genophage is completely cured, Krogan are going back to Rebellion numbers, perhaps another war?

If Rachni saved, the kids might "lose their songs" and start another war

If Citadel destroyed, galactic stability could be completely destroyed and war between different species eminent

If Humanity severely weakened, Batarians could attempt another war

If Dyson sphere built and Geth cease to exist, will Quarians get their lands or will another race move in and claim them

the possibilities are nearly endless...

It would be funny to find out that these reapers are just the ones assigned to "reap" the milky way. In 50.000 yearsthe Andromeda reapers are coming xd, this time you will be playing a a Reaper looking for his lost brother Harbinger lol

It might be a joke but this is actually a really interesting idea. Well, not in relationship to this particular thread since having reapers invade from another galaxy would require another game(or 4) but just in general.

I would like to see several “epilogue” stories; with different endings to Shepard’s career to explore. One could be about Shepard’s last mission, as he gave his/her life to accomplish/save <insert goal>

In another we could perhaps play Emily Wong (or someone of Shepard’s companions) investigating Shepard’s disappearance, only to find the Commander in some remote colony world, (after Emily had some interesting adventures of her own). Then we would switch to Shepard as the player’s character and be given the choice to decided what were the reasons why Shepard opted to disappear, (perhaps he/she desired to live a normal life, for instance).

Finally, as a third alternate ending, we could see Admiral Shepard in the eve of retirement, relieving some of his later, post-Reapers adventures with one of his companions, (perhaps Liara).

I'm going to be rather disappointed if the game ends after the reapers are down. Instead of some epilogue, I'd like to play some of the aftermath even if it didn't have any combat in it. If Sheppy survives that is.

But I guess I belong to a minority, since I'd always like to see in games, movies and books what happens after the adventure is over. But it never happens -.-

Sure.  There are plenty of possibilities.

They could also do a bridging DLC down the road if they decide to do another trilogy.  Are you listening BW?

Who says the Reapers will be gone at the end of ME3 ? I certainly hope they arent all destroyed.

I doubt any species would be looking to or able to start a war after the reapers are dead. I imagine Shep would go hunting any remaining husks, and indoctrinatees; although I don't even know how being indoctrinated would work if there are no reapers left to control them. And that is assuming you destroy all the reapers during the main game.
