Frankly, if this wound up being the Paragon route to victory, it wouldn't surprise me. It's already so filled with rainbows and unicorns and stunning naivety it wouldn't be too great of a stretch.

I think something similar will happen with the Paragon choice with the Illusive Man. Renegade choice will likely kill him in an epic way for betraying Shepard and threatening all life in the galaxy by doing whatever he's doing fighting Shepard over.

I don't see negotiating with the Reapers. They don't think we're worth the time. Perhaps the last Reaper's last word will be "sorry" but it's hard to hear that over the epic score of epic victory, surely playing as it begs for its life.

I would like to point out that Paragons could still talk Saren into putting one in his skull.

Which is entirely the reason why I think we'll be able to Blue Text the Illusive Man.

Although, I hope we don't fight a robo-zombie Illusive Man possessed by Harbinger that hops around a room. Then upon its death the Fleet defeats the Reapers.

But yes, I could see things ending like that with TIM. Perhaps killing him as a Renegade opens the door to taking over Cerberus yourself, and directing it in your preferred fashion (ultra-Renegades might empower it as a human supremacist organization, while others might tone it down to human-survivalist or the sort of ideals Kelly and Miranda express, or even merge it [back?] into the Alliance).

Renegade Shepard running Cerberus? Liara as the Shadow Broker?

What a nice ending.

"Together, we can rule the galaxy as commander and crew member!"

Suppose it'd be different for certain blueberry lovers, but I was never much a fan of Liara.

I became a fan once I played Lair of the Shadow Broker. Thought she was boring in ME1. I'm hoping she continues to stay interesting.

Yeah, I thought she got a huge boost of character development with LoTSB. I already liked her new personality from vanilla ME2.

To be honest I'm dissapointed she's a squadmate again, although I suppose that was to be expected unless Bioware wanted a mob on their hands. Being the Shadow Broker full time and feeding Shepard critical information could have been really interesting.

So what if we don't destroy the reapers. what if by uniting all of the races of the galaxy for one single worthy cause shows the reapers that they were wrong about organic senintent life. What if by bringing peace and stability to the galxy thorugh this unification the reapers realize the error of there ways and change their minds. And of course Shepard delivers a huge epic speech about the good thats capable in all forms fo life. Yeah. What if?

I thought that was the point of the 'bridging DLC'. I thought we'd found the third game's Council/Illusive Man. Liara would send us intel, video chat, and even have us return to the Shadow Broker's yaht for personal meetings.

Sounded awesome.

I'm kinda glad she's a crew member again, but I wish she was still the Shadow Broker more.

That was pretty much my expectation, and the part of me that's an Ashley fan was hoping that was perhaps why Liara got an entire DLC focused on her - because Bioware had plans for her character (and being the Shadow Broker is huge, naturally) and knew she wasn't going to be around in ME3 as a full-time squadmate, wheras Ashley or Kaidan would be.

Ah well. As far as ME3's Council/TIM role goes, as long as we finally get some substantial interaction with the Alliance brass I'll be happy.
