EDI is even better than Tricia Helfer, if it's possible. She can literally be whatever he wants her to be. I bet she even has a dial to change her voice to male if Joker swings that way. And if she gets bored of her robot body she can transfer to a different one like changing outfits. Maybe an asari look-a-like if Joker's in the mood for some cross species intercourse? And if his brittle bones are an issue, they could always utilize holograms and those quarian nerve stimulator packets.

How can Shepard compete with that?

I think I'm a fan of the game enough to trust the actual meat of the game to the developers and writers. I'd be flabbergasted if Bioware took advice from fans on important aspects of the game. Optional romances don't seem like a big deal to joke about or request, especially when the chances of being heard and acted upon are pretty low.

One can't swing a stick without running into such on these boards, and it is all development time and effort that can best be used elsewhere. They should keep the romances simple and not pander to audiences with unusual interests. Leave that to fan-fiction in the wastelands of the internet.

If the "advice" of all of these topics was followed, everybody on the ship would be some bisexual LI and half the game would be devoted to these romances. These character topics are almost entirely devoted to what people want to sex-up as opposed to any more meaningful discussion. You would hardly believe they are people here who like characters and don't want to sleep with them.
