I don't know why but i have this feeling that one of the new squadmembers is going to be an N7 operative that shepard has a past with, its been confirmed on twitter that there will see other N7 operatives in me3, and that some of the new characters will be cool and quite different from what they've done before, and i think there was a mention about learning more about shepard's character and history, so an N7 operative that shepard knows could help us learn more about him and a squadmember that has a pre-existing relationship with shepard hasn't been done before, and i think it would be cool to have another N7 on the squad

Maybe the rumoured female vigilante is an N7 graduate as well. Also Kai Leng (who is supposed to make an appearence in ME3) the Cerberus operative from the last two ME novels is an N7, as is Captain Anderson.

Did they say James would be an N7? I had only heard he was experienced soldier, not high level special forces, and his armor in the demo just had the alliance symbol on it and not N7 and red arm stripe

this is true. Kai Leng is a former N7 operative. He is a good anti-hero, up there with Death's Hand. I kinda rooted for him in the novels, is that bad?

I think if Kai Leng shows up he would be one of the boss's we would have to fight. I wouldn't be able to have him on my squad (I think even my 100% Renegade wouldn't like him). From reading the books I just grew to dislike him so much (the writing was splendid), heck he's up there with TIM as far as disliking goes.
