Second, while sprinting, Shepard should not enter cover automatically. I know its great that you can run straight at a crate and enter cover, but I would rather hit another button than get killed at least once a level because my shepard takes cover against a wall with his back to the enemy while sprinting away.
That is an annoying problem, though IMO it doesn't require a different key/button to fix it; they just need to make cover less "attractive" or "sticky" to Shepard.
Yes but then you get the other problem where you stand at a piece of cover mashing A (or whatever you use on PC/PS3) screaming at Shep to use it while they get shredded by enemy fire...or Shep finally gets in cover then right back out because, well, you were mashing A.<_<
I can't even count how many times I have done that. I don't think it's stickiness more so than adrenaline because so many things (on Insanity) are happening that you can't tell your head from your behind - so to speak. And routing to another would be just as bad for the same reason.
Side issue: The paused play, I believe that was put in for novice players. I'm not I'm not referring to mapping powers or choosing weapons as you have to bring them up to do those thngs. What I am saying is that while it stops play even just for a second, that hestitation could do more harm then good. So, what I suggest is thinking things through in real time. If it means getting shredded, BAM (by all means) because the more you play, the more things you find out.
IE: Covering in fights! For me, when I had to fight the first "Orb". the first part of that was easy do to the cover spot being blatantly obvious; however, I had to die a few times to find the second one. Same was true taking out the Collector ships on Horizon and on the Disabled Collector Ship. (Some advice: Enemies such as the ones listed above, you wanna play the "Tree" game with them)
