Hey, what’s up everyone?! Recently I’ve had the chance to watch some of the Mass Effect 3 videos that BioWare posted throughout the duration of E3 2011 and I must say that I was extremely impressed with just about everything they put on display. They did a fantastic job of addressing the questions and concerns we the fans had with Mass Effect 1 and 2 by clearly implementing new and improved features into the Mass Effect 3 demos. That just goes to show that the producers and staff at BioWare are truly taking the time to look over what we, as fans, have to say in order to satisfy our expectations.
What I’d like to accomplish with this Forum Topic is to gather ideas about what you would like to see changed or improved. Was there something about the combat system that bugged the hell out of you? Did you want more freedom with dialogue? Was there a lack of personalization with the weapons? The list goes on. Ever since I joined this Forum a few days ago, I’ve come across some really creative ideas that I would love to see incorporated into Mass Effect 3. I want you guys to post your thoughts so that they can be read by BioWare and seriously considered.

Here are a few ideas that I would like BioWare to consider for Mass Effect 3. Hopefully it will help you get the ball rolling with some of your thoughts and ideas...
Personally, I’ve been a diehard fan since the beginning. I’ve played Mass Effect 6 or 7 times through on insanity. (3 of those gameplays consisted of me just trying to get a Vanguard to Level 60.) I’ve completed literally the entire game by finishing each side quest and resolving each situation using a paragon action. In Mass Effect 2 I’ve done virtually the same, playing through 4 or 5 times. Each gameplay lasted anywhere from 50 to 70 hours. When you multiply that by 10 or 12 you’ll get several hundred hours of time and devotion. As that kind or caliber of fan, I feel that my reward is long overdue. Therefore, based off my accomplishments in the past 2 games, and for others who have done likewise, I feel there should be different plot options open to us. For example, we’re able to open up new and rare dialogue options that affect the course of the game dramatically that most other gamers aren't. These crucial moments include Shepard’s trial, convincing each race to join in the fight (including Cerberus and the Batarians), and letting those smug Citadel Councilors know what’s what.
I would also like to be able to stand up out of cover for more than a few seconds before I die. I seriously think you take way to much damage in too short a period of time. I think that our shields and armor should be much more efficient at taking damage.
Again, I don't want these last few comments to dictate the content of this Forum Topic. This Topic is about what you have to say. So, like I’ve iterated, let me know what you want to see changed or improved. You can be as discrete or as descriptive as you like.

I've also logged a lot of playtime and, like you, I'd love to see more impact and reward for players who have been making these decisions since the very beginning. However, at the sametime, I do think we need to be realistic and keep in mind that BioWare can only do so much with how chaotic the impacts of these decisions can become, even if this is the last game. They certainly can't make a dozen different versions of the game and call them 'Mass Effect 3: -Insert Percentage of Paragon and Renegade here-."

From a gameplay perspective, I really wish they would drop the mining economy and just allow upgrades to be earned as you find them. I do not care what BioWare says, nothing about that mining system in ME2 was fun or addictive in the slightest. Perhaps that is a direct result of me being as OCD as I am about having all of my ducks in a row for a playthrough, but every playthrough of ME2 I have ever done has had 3 hours logged immediately after acquiring Mordin towards getting enough minerals for EVERY upgrade in the game.

How does a Mass Effect 2 walkthrough take 50-70 hours I do everything and have all DLCs and it takes 35 hrs max on insanity where do you squeeze 20-40 hours more out of that?

Lots of calibrations.

I guess, idk how I'd squeeze another 2 hours out of it.
