Zem, please don't presume to speak for atheists in general.

Anyway, Ashley isn't an atheist because she is a theist.  Why is she a theist?  Good question.  Greater minds than yours or mine have been theists.  Maybe she was raised with theistic values and beliefs and they feel instinctively right to her.  Maybe she had a personal spiritual experience that she interpreted to be contact with the divine.  My point is, just because you have a strong desire to regulate and control Ashley's thoughts does not mean her theism is a writing error.

Now all the theists debunked we can return to Ashley's character. Some of you are bringing up that other aliens do as well. Let me answer that. I DONT CARE. I only care about Ashley's character, what would make a sane adult human being believe in something there is NO PROOF OF?

He isnt even discussing or debating anything hes just attacking everyone who disagrees with his view that religion is a load of bullcrap; or even the people who have agreed with him but said that he doesnt need to express himself in such a rude or hostile way.

No it is not.  There are more none believers now than every before.  Espeically in Europe.  Not here in the State though, but more and more people are starting to see that religion is nothing but BS.

Any religious text, is nothing more than a book written by man to control men.  God never wrote anything.

Although you are correct in saying that religion is not very popular here in Europe, spirituality (the belief in a higher power, but not neccesarily God) is actaully very high.  Here in the UK only about 5% of people go to church but the figure for people who actually hold some kind of belief in a higher power is over half of the population.  This is why the OP is complete rubbish, spirituality has always existed in one form or another

It seems like a writing error to me. It literally makes no sense to be a theist in that day and age. whether she was brought up a theist or not, why is theism even present in that universe?

What the flying moses? Prove that there is no God? thats not my responsibility, people who believe in god have to prove he exists. If there is no proof, he doesn't. thats how evidence works. not in reverse. Silly people.
