So I've taken a good deal of time getting some Shepards to level 60 in ME1 and I'm sure it's impossible not to be level 30 in ME2 if you did all the missions, anyway I hope there will be at least some bonuses for playing both when ME3 starts. It was great having starting minerals in ME2 cause it led to less scanning and if you were level 60 coming in you start with about 350,000 credits and like 60,000 of each mineral.

It would be even better though to get a big experience bonus starting out if you've played both games and even better bonuses if you've leveled up that character completely.

Getting to level 30 in ME2 was extremely easy. In ME1 I had to work my butt off to get to level 50, and then even more so to get to 60.

We should get to keep our money and level for Mass effect 3 for those who played Mass Effect 2 but I think we may keep our powers but everything will be resetted to level 1

Maybe the Virmire Survivor slips you a million credits that you "left" them in your will ;)

Makes no sense to keep money; you are on trial, how would you keep it?

Getting to 60 was way harder than max level in ME2. In ME2 you just had to play through with the XP bonus from completing the game. In ME1, you had to play the game through twice, do every single mission, and kill all enemies on foot ('cause of the stupid Mako XP penalty).

It would be nice to have somekind of veteran armour for lvl 60 and lvl 30 imports. Or atleast a candy!

if you import your me2 character to me3 there will be huge rewards beyond the inherent reward of continuing your story

It would indeed be nice to gain some items for playing all three games...
Even if it is just the same as getting the achievement bonuses early for ME3 (a la the ME2 version) and only having to beat the game once.

I would also love a boost depending on what difficulty you bring a character through from. I beat ME1 on insanity, ME2 on insanity, and will beat ME3 on insanity...I would enjoy gaining a slight bonus for doing so. (a little money to spend please?)

I would love to see something special for those of us who have played the first two games. An experience bonus would be great but I would love to have something to actually show for it in the game. Doesn't necessarily have to be practical, could be some special kind of colorful fish that never dies or something. :P

I'm hoping there are rewards for importing a save through both ME1 and ME2. Importing from ME2 will be nice, but I am hoping my Level 60 Shep from ME1 gets some recognition too!

Sure it does. It allows us to buy modifications and weapons why would I say no to that?

All the time I was scanning I thought to myself "Well... it should pay off in ME3 to have more than is necessary", so please be fair and don't let those (in all the playthroughs) hours of torment, pain, boredom and monotony go to waste.
But exp and money bonus for those who played the prequels would be nice : )

On the other side: every second sentence that's been said about (imagine the canadian ou ^^) ME3 was "It's not just a good game to get in to the me series, it's the best game for that!"
soooo... I hope they don't punish those who played prequels Oo.

This. Every time I beat ME2 I was level 30.

I never got above 40 in ME1.

I never get above 57 in a single run... if I kill all the enemies outside the mako and do every quest. With all bonuses in place of course. In ME2 it's just too easy to get to lvl 30 and it happens way to soon.

The rewards for ME2 were OK the best being starting minerals so I never need to start scanning right away and can just jump in, but something cool would be nice I like what they said on the Twitter although I would love some lvl 60 ME love since that's actually a lot harder to acheive than anything else.

It's impossible, even if you take advantage of some bugs and a few exploits you would have to perform the actions hundreds of times to reach lvl 60 in a single playthrough.

Going through twice is fun though, if you start at say lvl 54 and just get all good gear all the time from the very start.

Yeah it would be nice to see a bonus for both level 60 in ME1 and level 30 in ME2.
I'd expect there to be the usual increase in initial talent points to spend, but I don't know, maybe a trinket to go with the rest of the stuff in Shepard's cabin?

I'd be fine with something majorly cool and atmospheric -- I'd be against something that gives in-game benefits to the player.

Something that'd be really cool would be some set of custom skins or something for armor and decor, so you can turn the Normandy to older iterations in appearance to a degree. I'd say skins for Shep, but none of the ME1 skins were that great. :) Maybe have the Consort momento from ME1 unlock the silvery globe from ME2, and give you some weird toy in your cabin. Prothean video game with a Protheans vs Reapers-esque Space Invaders or something silly like that. :)

If the scaling of enemies is identical to how it's handled in ME2 you'd regret you ever asked for an XP bonus.

I don't think you people appreciate enough how helpful the Renegade/Paragon bonus you get at the start for importing an ME1 save is.

Also seeing the effects of your actions from previous games is reward enough, and can sometimes even give you practical benefits. There's really no need to go overboard.

Remember, ME1 bonuses would be unfair for PS3 users.

Um, importing a level 60 from ME1 gave you a LOT of credits and resources (50k credits or so.. enough for 1 or 2 upgrades right off the bat) and around 5k of each mineral... that's nothing to sneeze at and made life much easier at the start compared to a non imported level 60 (plus, a level 60 starts at level 5 in ME2 rather than level 1).

LOL who cares?

PS3 users.

Anyway, while I support bonuses for having played both games, I don't think the leveling in ME1 should impact ME3. The players who actually had the time the get to level 60 in ME1 already got their reward in ME2.

I feel like those who are just starting a new game with ME3 should start the game just as they would any other - from scratch. As a penalty/crutch, BioWare gets to choose the important decisions from the two previous games for you. That, or they could attach a DLC that cost money to allow you to make them yourself.

For those who have spent countless hours building their character, completing missions, gaining loyalty, and etc. they should receive an appropriate reward in terms of bonuses in experience and money. If you've maxed out either your paragon or renegade points in both previous games you should be given bonuses in those areas which will open up important dialogue options early in the game. These dialogue options should have an important impact on the game.

Those are just a few ideas that I have. I'm open to other ideas as well.
