Flashbang through the door! (Flash grenades discussion)

What's your take on this? did you liked flash grenades in ME2? should they come back in ME3 with any necesary improvement?

Weird I just commented on this on the other grenade thread. I LOVE flashbang!! Watch those enemies grab their heads in their hands and fill them with bullets! Yay!

Plus they have flair and detonate pretty, do it right, do it flashbang style. *thumbsup*

I absolutely loved flashbangs and would love to see them return, maybe a variation that also releases smoke for infiltrators.

I liked them too, although Im not sure if they should return exactly as they were or if they should explode after certain amount of time (you know, in order not to wait for them to stop bouncing everywhere), or if they should be controlled remotely, like a C4.
Thoughts?

Thoughts?

That kind of defeats the purpose of flashbangs, which are designed solely for dynamic entry and CQC.

Yes, the c4 part it does, but the other part its more like in modern warfare games, that as soon as the grenade hits something it explodes. Sometimes flash grenades in ME2 didn't worked quite as someone would like to because they could take a while to explode until they finally remained still, and the enemy had enought time to avoid the blast zone. That's what I kinda meant

I really hope they make some sort of a comeback in ME3... Then again, since we probably won't have any hostages to worry about in ME3, the default Frag grenades might just work a whole lot better. Nothing cc's enemies better than killing them, after all.

There's a win technique right there lol.

The devs must be/should put some thought on strategies with flashbangs in order to make them work better, and experiment with different variants of flash grenades as they're evolving in the new skill trees

You mean flashbangs should basically explode as soon as they make contact with anything instead of keep bouncing like in ME2, right?
