It could work for e-books I think. It'd be a variant of the old "choose your own adventure" novels.

Oh, that's a great idea! The books would probably turn out shorter because of the need to write a lot more text for every possible scenario, but done right, it could be a fun read! A visual/partly illustrated or animated novel would be fun as well.

Or how about a text adventure game for smart phones?

Ooh, I love this idea! It's set in Orlais! So many possibilites!

As if having Wynne's son, Wynne and Shale in the same novel wasn't already exciting enough. I can think of a few other characters who might make appearances... Bodahn and Sandal, Leliana... maybe even Justinia and Celene! It will be interesting seeing how the Kirkwall incident has effected everything.

Since the "White Spire" (which just so happens to share the same name as the Mountain in between Arlathan forest and Brynnlaw. I wonder if there is any connection?) is the center of Templar power in Orlais, I can only assume it is located in Val Royeaux. That would increase our chances of seeing some major political players. Oh, it makes me shiver with excitement!

Oh, and 3 questions..

1) Will Asunder become available for IPhone, like Drew's Mass Effect novels?

2) Will we get some information on what went down at the College of Magi in Cumberland? (Seeing as Wynne went there)

3) Will there be any mention of Rhys' father? Maybe even an appearance?

I'm already sick of that ''keep your finger on the pulse'' - crap they've got going on each episode.

On topic; I'm excited to see another DA book, in fact I've been praying for David to write more about the awesome Dragon Age setting. I've read both novels twice and can't wait to get my hands on Asunder.

I hope we'll see even more books in the future.

EDIT: Wynne and Shale will be in it. That makes my day.

What's wrong with it being cannon that Wynne lived?

I see no problem in giving cannon preference to a novel and consider the DA:O personal choice as simply intereresting secondary option to play with. Mr. Gaider is the Creator, after all, and he can do what pleases him! :)

Why do I know someone will end up complaining that Wynne and Shale surviving is canon now?
Well, at least Wynne surviving. I don't recall many people intentionally killing Shale.

This! Same when Mike started asking his super hard difficult questions, I was like: really, come on it isn't that hard! And they call themselves fans, shameful. Image IPB

Ha ha ha ! Totally agree. Poor dev, they do ask themself : For the love of god, why suffer to make complicated stories if the fans don't follow.... XD

I was facepalmed with the answer which was the felicima armada and some presumed hard questions, even if I haven't played very much DA2, I could have won many times !!

The next time, I will be there, if there are the same kind of questions hu hu. :P

Will the book be also available as ebook version?

I'm not sure what TOR's plans are for the book just yet. It's supposed to come out in December, so I imagine I'll know more when we're closer to that date.

This is what I get for starting DA2 six months in. Looks like Asunder will be available both on the Kindle and Nook for purchase. At least, according to their websites.

What I would really like to see (as a librarian) is a contract between TOR and Overdrive for ebook checkouts. Kindle will have a contract with Overdrive by the end of the year, but I'd like to see more publishers willing to lend ebooks.

I'm very interested in this. Shale was a fun character, and I'd really like to see what she is up to. Since the DA franchise changes protagonists, and subsequently companions, it offers good material for books. It's hard not to wonder what those Origins companions were up to during DA2.

Preordered it last week (whilst ordering a 360 Chatpad/Headset). I can already taste the snarkiness.

Not sure if anyone cares but amazon.co.uk appear to have the cover art posted for the book. This is the first I've seen of it, sorry if it's already been posted
