Hey guys. It's been a long time since I've been on the BioWare forums. It's good to be back. So far the stuff I've seen for Mass Effect 3 has me really psyched. I'm loving the multiple species of husks, weapon customisation, better skill progression, etc.
This leads me to one thought though. I'm going to play ME3 to death, like ME2, and ME1 before that. But wouldn't it be great if one day (I'm thinking a few years here) BioWare dedicated a small team to update ME1 and 2 with all the improvements they've made for ME3 and release it as a whole, seamless game. Naturally the ME1 component would need to be dropped for the PS3 version (becuase Microsoft owns that, sucks as I jumped from Xbox to PS3 last year, still loving ME2 though).
Mass Effect 3, then........

I think I'd prefer they just leave ME1 alone. That said, I wouldn't have to buy a rebooted version in the first place, so whatever.

So some sort of anniversary edition of the first 2 games? I think that would have to be quite a few years down the line and would only work if they continued working on the Mass Effect IP between now and then with success. Personally, I probably wouldn't buy something like that.

2017 would be the ten year anniversary of ME1. I know that Halo Anniversary has a lot of people thinking about this, and not just for Mass Effect either. Me? I'm all for it, as long as they fix ME2's broken story. All they would really have to do is tweak things slightly to incorporate the events of arrival into the main story.
