M3s release coincides with the Reapers invasion. Why do you think BW pushed the release date back?

Screw you. I shall destroy the reapers, and then destroy you. i am goddamn invincible. Reapers don't have **** on me.

You're not qualified. Our only chance is to launch a team of actor-astronauts into space after them.

Call NASA! Assemble our hottest astronauts!

Please, we're barely any better or more advanced than the chimps we cage in zoos that fling their feces at one another... It will be thousands of years before humans undergo any meaningful sociological evolution - as we are, we're barely any different from our ancestors 50,000 years ago.

Less than a fraction of a percentage of the human race are/were brilliant geniuses that have pulled the rest of us up from the mud through technological innovation and breakthroughs.... the rest of us just use the brilliant discoveries & tools created by the few geniuses that showed them to us. On a sociological level though we're barely any different than we were ages ago... we just have fancier tools now and a few minor sociological changes... we're still far too weak in terms of psyche and understanding - too governed by our weakest, most primitive emotions (fear, anger, hunger, greed, reproduction).. until we learn to govern & control those emotions in a beneficial way with our own conscious mind (as opposed to letting them govern us, as is the case) then we're not going anywhere in a hurry as a species.

Any species that were advanced enough to reach our solar system would have nothing to fear from us because there's nothing we could do to even come close to harming them - they'd be best off just waiting us out and seeing if we end up killing ourselves off with war or suffocating ourselves with over population.

Frankly, I'd think the reapers would look down upon the real world of Earth today and treat us the same way an average person does when they see an anthill... ignore it, or kick it over without so much as a second thought.

How horrificaly pessimistic. This is also based on the assumption that aliens would have risen above their 'primitve emotions', surely following these emotions is the way we have survived and prospered.  Your post kind of reminded me of Dr Breen's propoganda messages in Half Life 2

They would harvest us in Mass Effect 2 one of the planet descriptions mentioned that a Bronze age civilization was eradicated by the reapers.

Most likely it was eradicated by something else. The Reapers would not be concerned with a Bronze Age civilization. To the Reapers, it'd just be a bunch of monkeys with swords.

But 4000 years later, those monkeys have crossbows and siege engines. Another 1000 years, and they have automatic weapons. 1000 more years and they're building their own mass relays. Unless Reapers want to keep coming back into the galaxy every 5-6000 years, they're going to have to do a bit of pruning before they leave after each major extinction.

Hardly worth the trouble. If the Reapers did arrive tomorrow and melt us all down into genetic goo for a new Reaper, all they'd end up with is a Reaper that complains alot, has a low IQ and likes getting fat on hamburgers and beer.

Aaahh yeah I hate it when that happens, especially if I've just had a shower and smell all nice n that.
I'd just have to explain that it's not convienent at the moment, I've got a pile of washing up to do amongst
other things, could you come back later?

Maybe try next door, I think they're in at the moment.

I think you're underestimating the fact that in those last 1000 years the monkeys would be way too lazy to develop their own mass relays because the Reapers already tricked said monkeys into just using theirs. Even in ME1, where the latest cycle was running late due to prothean lulz, the asari, salarians, and turians were still not developing mass relay tech.

Also, Ray Kurzweil disagrees with your "thousands of years" prediction. I'll trust his judgement over someone that doesn't think we're much more advanced than monkeys in cages -- as we type on our keyboards to post something on the Internet.

And the Reapers don't seem to have any problem with humans being the first course of their galactic buffet, even though the same things you've said about present day humans compared to humans 50,000 years ago could apply to Mass Effect humans compared to us. Just shinier toys!

Wow.  It takes a truly stunning lack of discernment to compare modern to paleolithic man (let alone chimpanzees), and say they are barely different.  You do realise that only one of these groups has space travel, sanitation, the internal combustion engine, the Internet, surgery, and a life expectancy above 30, right?

Wrong-o.  Human advancement is a team effort.  For every genius inventor there are the parents who birthed him, the teachers who educated him, the butchers and farmers that fed him, the cops and soldiers who protected him, the patrons who financed him, the academic and scientific community who guided and inspired him, and the many thousands of people who co-operated and conspired to make sure he had access to consumer goods like cars, computers, pens, lights, a house, a lab, clothes, a telephone service, energy supplies, et cetera...

Emotions aren't bugs, they're features.  Fear and anger beget acts of heroism.  Hunger stops us starving to death.  Greed is the force that makes millions of people all around the world conspire and co-operate to put consumer goods into the lives of genius inventors.  Without the hunger for sex there'd be no love, and no kids!

You seem to think that humans would be wonderful if we could just do away with our humanity.

Prediction: you're a Paragon.  Amirite?

But they do wait until a society is technologically advanced. And not only that, they wait until that society is advanced along the Reapers own line of technology.

It looks like Reapers want humanity to first be technologically advanced and advanced along the Reapers only technological lines. This makes sense if something of humanity survives in the ascension to Reaperhood. You would want a population with the correct soceital evolution, so its accustomed to being small cogs in a big wheel, and the proper technological advancement - so it is able to understand and use advanced technology.

Mere physical traits appear to be insufficient.
