I've been looking at the character guides posted and I'm starting to get the feel for the load order.  But I would like to post my assumptions and perhaps some of you meta gamers can let me know if i'm on the right track for setting up talent priorities.  Ok, here we go.

Potions
Heals and Raises
sustained abilities on
sustained abilities off base on health percentage factors
CCC's elite mobs
CCC's trash mobs
crowd control (mainly rouges redirecting agro)
abilities cast based on attack type
general attack commands
sustained off based on enemies left standing

Thank you one and all.

I doubt you will get any universal agreement on any one order, but for me;

Deactivate Blood magic, Vengeance, Blood of the First
Self health potion
CCC elite
heal

I believe those are perhaps the most important ones and should be given priority, the rest is really up to you
Have you read Suicidalbaby's guide on tactics? if not thats the place to go for knowledge on tactics.

I have, but I was hoping for more of a template of sorts for talent load order, not a break down of talent load orders that others had written. I know i'm missing the big picture and Suicidal was probably rolling his eyes at me with his reply ;-). Hey, maybe there isn't a template, and every companion is so diverse that there are no generalizations.

It is hard to say, some potions are higher than anything (health) others (heroic offense) might not be.
My orders really did vary by companion. For example, Fenris never had much stamina once his sustains turned on - I wasn't much on turning them off - and so I had to hoard his stamina for CCC's.

In general it would be:
Heals - Use
Sustains - On (I don't mess with on and off)
CCC high value targets (I don't "waste" them on non-elites)
Disable high value targets (I will have 2 commands for Nearest Rogue and then Nearest Mage)
Party defense (Enemy Attacking > [Mage Character] for example)
Crowd Control
The last command is either: Nearest Enemy > Attack for melee characters or Enemy>Lowest Health>Attack for missile.
