There are more ways to make it meaningful than murdering her. Especially since you'll be visiting Rannoch.

I agree. I just think to me it would give me the most impact that way

Maybe.

I personally find it melodramatic. Death fails to be romantic for me.

I suspect that, if Tali's face is shown, it will either be:

Another Romance scene, this time camera situated more appropriately,

OR

"Thanks for getting me my homeworld back" sort of thing.

Above picture is hilarous. Nailed it!

I think theres a weird rift of people, I just dont get. And that's the group that are very vocal that quarians need to look like aliens hardcore. And I do kind of see where there coming from. But it is kind of funny.  I mean lets pull back and look at the bigger picture.

How much of the sci fi in Me universe do you think is "real"? Or even could be real? 50 percent? How about 10 percent?  Hows zero chance sound?  Still we suspend reality and buy into it, and enjoy the story.

Say there are a ton of different races of intelligent life out there. Whats the chances theyll feel anything like we do, resulting in similiar values, experiences and world views? 50 percent? how about 10 percent? Hows zero chance sound? Still we suspend reality, and buy into it, and enjoy the story.  See where Im going with this?

So were all on this board with the exception of a few people who are just now checking out the series we already made choices about what were going to believe, and what we'll suspend.  and were suspending "quite" a bit. A ton really. Which is how it should be. Enjoy it for what it is.

So yeah, you got people who are buying into the fact everyone speaks english, that aliens will in any way operate like we will on an emotional level, or have values in a way thatd wed understand.  We'll buy into space travel and biotics.  The different races and so on.

But you have this small splinter group; who would nerd rage if the quarians look human? Are these people mad how asari turned out? What exactly are they buying into with the ME universe? Are the ideas of biotics, ok?

But I do have a point why, quarians, well atleast tali will be hot. bet money she wont be space elf hot, but still hot.  Look at samara, miranda, ash, kinda jack... super hot right? regardless of samaras squid head, she has the body of fake supermodel, and the face of a supermodel.  While quarians might be stuck in there suits, the only appeal we'll get is her face. You really think they wont knock it out of the park? the arguement being realism? To appease a very small, weird, and erie angry community thats very small?

If we see it in a romance section then itll be for people who like tali, and your kind of facing a prisoner dilemma otherwise.  If everyone gets to see quarians; how many people would be upset if they look good? how many people would be upset if they look bad? If its only in a romance, how many people will be upset if she looks good? how many people would be upset in a romance with tali if she looks bad? How much weight do you give to their opinion?  the writing is very clear on the wall; if they show their face that is. just saying.

Ooo I want this one, this one please

Looks perfect, some of the other pictures I've seen just look too human. Quarians need to look like aliens, and I want the glowing/white eyes.

Fact: Quarians look human.

Fact: Tali's a love interest, and Bioware makes love interests attractive.

Get over it, haters.

I thought Talimancers could instamasturbate just by hearing her name... why do they need faces?

Wouldn't that put a serious crimp in all those "Oh, Tali, divine one-who-loves-me-and-only-me-forever, I must simply Windex you today!"

"Oh, yes, MachoGamerShepard, yes!"

*Squirt - squeegee*....

...

There won't be a single happy Talifapper if they do show her face, and there won't be a single happy one if they don't.

Bioware, you is screwed by your genuflection to the Talifroth.  You may serve them now, but they will never forgive you.

Choosing what should happen in a Bioware game should not be founded on the logic of what will make people on BSN not complain, because that implies that there are decisions that would make people on BSN not complain.

Anyway, there will be plenty of happy Tali fans if Bioware reveals her face. It'd be silly to think otherwise. After the reveal in ME3, the positive reaction will greatly outweigh the negative reaction. We've already had polls that say as much on BSN and Facebook.

I am fine if I never get to see Tali's face in the game.  In fact I kind of hope they dont show it.  It fits the story that they have not showen it.

Not being particularly Talicentric means I'm in a "bad mood"?  Is that the same as "hating God" if I say I'm not a Christian?  Seems like no one is allowed a dissenting opinion on Tali or her stalkers. Alas.

Hell,  even trying to post a dissenting notion about the sweetest taboo in Tali Effect seems to end up in a scenario roughly equivalent to walking into a room with twelve 12-year-olds all earnestly engaged in a debate over who gets to masturbate to a picture of Optimus Prime's rear end first.  If you ask why they might want to do that, they throw their poop at you and scream you neither understand mutual masturbation nor the complexities of Optimus' hind quarters.

...and If you dare point out how odd that is, they scream for their mom who comes along and pats them on their pointly little heads, smooches their spotty little behinds and offers to kick all the other girls out of the neighbourhood so they can stalk the one left with impunity.

...and I'm the one with the problem?

Madness.

Again, if it doesn't fit their sweat-licking fantasies, the Taliholes will squeal - and if it does, they'll squeal.  Either way, there'll be much squeal'n, good or ill, for this last installment of Taliporn that was once known as "Mass Effect".

I agree with you for the fact that because you disagree with whatever the issue may be (didnt pay much attention) that you shouldnt be labeled a a hater or in a bad mood or mean. Yet It also seems that you are placing all Tali fans in one cultish group.

I mean Im a semi regular on the forums, i go on a work for example (giggity)  im also a Tali fan in regards to shes my Cao shep's toy. I also will admit i have expectations with ME3 Tali that if not met, i may be dissapointed, but at the same time, I'd rather Bioware tell me the story that they want to tell, not what the BSN or fans neccesarily want. Its true its about money first in a company stand point, but Games are now an art medium, RPGs especially. Bioware's games focus on Character development more tha anything else now-a-days. Thats my bigggest gripe with DA2 haters (for the most point) Where mechanically DA2 had major faults (recycled maps, bad combat) It suceeded EXTREMELY well with Story and Characters and huge values and themes. DA2 in my opinion told the story that needed to be told for the franchise and setting up DA3. I beleive ME3 should tell the story that needs to be told, for the ME franchise to continue and not be shifted because Miranda lovers or Tali lovers hate eachother or whatever.

I doubt that double eyeroll - on asari and on quarians if they would be revealed as "purple humans" - would back my eyes on initial position. Presense of one wrong thing doesn't justify presense of another.

As Star Trekkie as ME is in some ways, with most sentient species resembling humanoids in one way or another (minus the Hanar, for instance), it won't surprise me if quarians are largely human in appearance. I like the concept posted already this thread.

It won't really bother me if they don't show quarians, because it's something you really have to get "right." Peter Jackson did a lot of things that drove me nuts, but he got the creatures of LotR about right, imo (not counting the Mouth of Sauron, or the fact that in the "for fans" extended edition, the Witch King breaks Gandalf's staff, utter bs, but I could go on and on). I mention that because sometimes it really matters that you get those details right. However, maskless Quarians aren't really essential to the story, not if it will take them 300-600 years to build up their immune systems. Even if there's an ending with RedXIII Vas Neema running through a canyon, it's not important.

I'm still curious though.
