I would like to be able to board the Normandy while docked without flying away.I don't understand why in ME2 you can't just go chill on your ship without flying off into deep space

This is somthing that has only started to bug me in my last 2 ME2 playthroughs but I agree. If I'm on Illium and I have just completed Samara's recruitment mission, I want an option to go back to the Normandy, talk to her on board, feed my fish, upgarde my weapon/armour, talk to the rest of my crew without having the Normandy take off and leave Illium's orbit, I still have Thane's recruitment mission to go( and Miranda's Loyalty Mission ), I'm not done with Illium yet.

1) Weapons should hold more magazines, that way you don't find them lying around. I HATE seeing clips lying on the ground in a corner, or in LotSB seeing the clips lie on the outside of the ship. Nobody is going to say, "hey, I'll leave these on the ground," or on the outside of a ship with wind gusts blowing them around.

2) Powers are useless on higher difficulties, biotics were just bad with the flawed combat system

3) Medigel. I knew my squadmates would die, and there would be no point in reviving them just so they could die again (AI is just plain bad), so I found it better to let the Medigel build up to the point where I would earn credits for extra ones found. So either make the Medigel worth using as in bringing back the old health and shield system, or make squad AI better so they just won't die as quickly and easily.

4) Pets. I don't waste my time buying them cause they always die, so either let me have a pet tiger in my quarters, or have an automatic feeding system.

5) Ammo. Let guns hold more. The first sniper rifle holds a whopping 11 rounds. On Insanity, that's good for 4-6 enemies, not even, it depends on the upgrades and enemy protection.

6) Make text bigger. I like to skip through boring text, such as investigating, by reading the subtitle, but it became difficult to do in Mass Effect 2.

7) Make cover less vital. In ME2 you knew when a fight scene would come up because there was always columns knocked over or multiple boxes. And in fights with Krogans, if you didn't kill them, you were running from them because they would just alk forward non stop.

8) class trees were too small. Ammpowers are pointless with mods back now.

Biotics were pointless? I can't say I agree with that. You're trying yo kill an enemy. Why should it matter if it takes one Warp bomb (Casual) or 10 (Insanity)? I won't disagree that it's harder for pure-biotics, but it doesn't mean that putr biotics can't get past whatever it's struggling with. My character is one of the three most suited classes to tackle Insanity, but I absolutely did not just breeze through it!

The nedigel revivng squadmates. Sometimes it easier to play by yourself for awhile - certainly more fun if you want challenge! Heck, for me, I try to resist the urge to use medigel - especially since once you're finished with a fight, your squadmates come back anyway. So, why waste it? Having said this, if you must use some, try to use as a little as possible which goes back to resisting using any at all until you've gotten through most of the fight(s) (ie: The Core portion of the IFF mission; the penultimate part of the SM before you face the human reaper). Don't get me wrong, it's very easy to abuse the medi-gel as easy as it is to abuse bullets (in some shape or form), but if you're strategic about it ...

Covering less vital? So, you rather go in with guns blazing, but you want squad AI better because they die frequently? With batting Krogans, unless they were on top of you (before they charge), but were rarely running from them. Given that they walk, makes them very easy to kill. I take it, you don't prefer doing damage from a distance.

Don't get me wrong, the run & gun and distant damage play styles have their pros and cons (ie: You're less prone to succomb because less damage is taken when at a distance while warp bombs from 50ft away makes killing an emeny tedious). It sounds like I'm saying change your playstyle and I am, but I am NOT saying to totally abandon it because close and distant play when intertwined is highly effective.

I love the limp. Don't burn me. I think it gave Shepard physical character appropriate to someone who'd died and sustained massive physical damage, including a shattered pelvis, and been brought back as a cyborg.

My peeves:
Oh, look, it's a cutscene, and Shepard suddenly has an assault rifle. Apparently she stole it from Garrus, because half the time he's pointing a pistol at the guy. Did we trade? Is this just part of Turian flirting? Okay, Commander, I'll test my reach and your flexibility, but we have to trade guns first. I guess it's better than trading underwear.

Fish feeding: I happen to be a real-life aquarist, and I can say with authority that 1) you are MASSIVELY overfeeding those fish--I'm shocked that your tank isn't covered in algae from all the phosphates the decaying food is leeching into the water. Not that I expect them to fix this, it's just something I think about every time I press the 'feed button.' 2) Fish are cold-blooded and can survive for days without food, and that's assuming they can't graze on all the leftovers from that cloud of flakes you just poured in. Also, I can only assume that in SPACE we have technology to do automatic water-changes and regular tank maintenance, so why don't we have programmable feeders? I have one over there, and I'm not in space at all. I'm in my living room. On Earth. Watching a cop drama.

Also the aquascaping in Shepard's tank isn't very good. Again, not something I expect to see fixed, although in my wildest dreams we would be able to buy tank decor for the fishies. Not worth wasting development resources on, but for fish nerds like me it would be squee-worthy.

I hated how easily my fish died.  It got to the point that I didn't even buy fish until I could convince Kelly to feed them for me.  But even then I had to remember to feed them before the SM or they would be dead after.  Auto-fish-feeder for ME3!

Can we get Kelly to feed our pet peeves like she does with our fish? And why didnt we have a cutscene in the bathroom flushing the dead fish once we cleaned them out?
My biggest peeve was why the hell did we have Kelly on board in the first place, when it was up to Shep to resolve everyones daddy/son/daughter issues?

lol

Seriously, my opinion on Kelly's purpose is the same as it was when I first met her: she's on the Normandy to soften up Shepard's attitude towards Cerberus, and to keep his "needs" satisfied.

"I must say, it's such an honour to work under you, Commander Shepard."
"The moment I met you I knew I could close my eyes, fall back, and you'd be there."

It's even suggested that she performs much the same sort of service for the other team members as well. I really found the whole thing quite disturbing.

I SO want to see a model of the wrecked Reaper with a diver coming out of it.  Maybe carrying a box of eezo?  :)

Not being able to retrain Squad points. When I would go to level their abilities, I either didn't like the current setup or thought "I think This ability will be better than That", but had no way of changing it until you do LotSB

1) Please, get rid of the auto-aim on snipers. The number of Widow shots I've wasted because the auto-aim thought the target had a far more important invisible friend... "No, Shepard, the guy with the flamethrower coming at you like a suicide bomber isn't important, KILL HIS FRIEND, HE'S LITERALLY DOING NOTHING!!!"

2) Yeah, the squad AI... the number of times I've shouted "What are you doing, STOP STANDING ON THE COVER, YOU'RE GETTING SHOT!"... Also, ammo powers. I once had Grunt and Jack continuously switching ammo powers 'cos they both had team ammo. I just turned power usage off and micromanaged the crap out of them.

3) Gods above yes, WHY DOES THE NORMANDY LEAVE EVERY TIME I GET IN IT? "Wait, guys, forgot my wallet, I think I must have flushed it out of an airlock again. Joker, get us into orbit, I lost my wallet again."

4) Please make it clear when I'm romancing somebody - Dialog Wheel: "I'm sorry you were tortured, Jack." Actuality: "I love you Jack, you gotta man-down and get over, like, your entire life so you can love me back. When the moooooon is in the seventh house, and Ju-upiter al-lighns with Mars..."

5) The Thermal Clip lore makes no sense and it's something I raged over when it was first announced. Seriously, how is "We have limited ammo, but the MARKEDLY FEW Battle-Engineers
in the Galaxy can't feck with them, and each bullet hits a little harder." better than "Right. We have 3 million troops, each one NEVER HAS TO STOP FIRING and if the other side comes at us with Battle-Engineers and disables a few of them, the other 2,999,933 troops will use their infinite ammo to turn them into jelly. I know, each bullet hits a little less hard than the other side, but lets do the math: 80x50.4 is 432 damage - 80 shots is as much ammo as they can carry for the mattock. Now, lets say that our guns do ...20 damage per shot. Thats ∞x20 which is ∞ damage. I think we'll win this one boys."

6) Loading screens - preferred the lifts,

7) Biotic Powers are fine on Normal (which I just played today, man it's insanely easy. ) But above that guns are far more efficient. "Take down shield... now, either push or just fire 2 more times..."

Consoles FTL! But yeah, I can imagine that is annoying.

Well I'm fairly certain that they patched the issue of squadmates overriding ammo powers.  They'll only use ammo powers if they don't have one on already, now.  So yay for that I guess.

I thought it was fairly clear-cut.  The top response indicates romance.  The middle response indicates cordial friendship/indifference.  The bottom one seems to only be there to antagonize them.  What's the big deal.

I'm discovering more as I do more replays. I have to say, right after the sticky cover issue, which apparently has been resolved for ME3, the thing that bugs me the most is the screwed up autotargeting for sniping. I notice this a lot as a soldier using adrenaline rush. Nothing is more annoying than trying to shoot a collector before it lands and have the computer decide that the enemy next to it is more important and move your targeting reticule somewhere between them.

2. Time sinks. Planet scanning, bypassing, and hacking. AFAIC you could take these all completely out of the game and it'd be a better game for it. They're boring, they break immersion in a variety of ways, and they're not really optional, as you need the credits and resources to get upgrades that are required both for maintaining game balance and keeping characters alive..

Mine is people who rage over this claiming it makes no sense when it does make sense realistically if you're smart enough to think it through a little before you churn out another comment like the one above.

Also, not being able to find the droids I'm looking for.

This is one from ME3 (assuming it makes the final cut) but I hate that Shep's omni-tool is on the right hand. Traditionally, it's on the non-dominant hand. I don't know if they'll address it or not, but it would be very silly if you omni-bladed with your right and fired incineration (for example) with your left...

No 180 degree turn.!.

Rip504 wrote...

Since Combat will be upgraded in ME3 will
there, and if not can we, Install a 180 degree turn for Shepard.
Something like down and (A) 360 down and down (X) PS3. Similar to
Resident Evil's 180 turns ?

Thoughts,opinions,and Ideas? No? I
would prefer this. I really wish this was incorporated in ME2. So I
really want to see this in ME3's action packed game. Am I the only
one?

why not? usually a knife is wielded in the dominant hand unless you're doubling it up with a pistol for extreme CQB.

It makes sense in terms of use, but I don't understand it being on the right hand instead of the left. Not because I would prefer it the other way, just that convention says it would be on the left.

Slightly insulting, but okay... for small teams that can run in and steal their opponent's unused clips, this may be a nice option, it avoids the possibility that  the very rare Engineer you encounter could criple your team for a few seconds. However, in a fullscale battle, or especially in a fire fight such as the one at the end of the SM when Shepard is killing the HR, you'd run out of 'sinks. You have what effectivley is an unlimited number of incoming combatants if the size of the base is anything to go by - Realistically, given the recharge time on biotics and tech powers and the limited ammo, everyone on your team should be dead by the time Shepard finishes his business. The only excuse is that the Collectors, and thus the Reapers are complete morons, and we shoddn't really worry about their invasion because we could just post signs everywhere saying "Turn left --> now" and they woudln't know what do do and we could kill them at our leisure - because they're that stupid.

Look at the Codexs entry -

"It was long thought that personal weapons had plateaued in performance, but the geth proved all theories wrong. Mathematically reviewing their combat logs, the geth found that in an age of kinetic barriers, most firefights were won by the side who could put the most rounds down-range the fastest. But combatants were forced to deliberately shoot slower to manage waste heat, or pause as their weapons vented.

To eliminate this inefficiency, the geth adopted detachable heat sinks known as thermal clips. While organic arms manufacturers were initially doubtful this would produce a net gain, a well-trained soldier can eject and swap thermal clips in under a second. Faced with superior enemy firepower, organic armies soon followed the geth's lead, and today's battlefields are littered with these thermal clips."

- But we KNOW from the first game that you can upgrade a gun so you never need to stop firing which is why this MAKES NO SENSE. I found HUNDREDS of those upgrades, just randomly, in boxes, on bodies, it's not like it was a secret - the GETH already had this technology, and it was BETTER! It might have even cost less to mod them rather than REPLACING EVERY GUN IN THE GALAXY. Where do geth even keep the spare 'clips? Are their bodies just automatic clip dispensors? They don't have pockets or belts. If so, why not just have the weapon built into their bodies? How is it more efficient if you have nowhere to keep your ammo?! Why don't the guns have clip magazines? Woudln't that be MORE efficient than pulling them out of your pocket?

Any military leader who takes ME2 ammo over ME1 ammo, knowing that with a couple of simple modifications you would only need to stop firing eveyr 10,000 shots or so to replace the block, as a global decision rather than a selective one should be charged with treason due to intentional military sabotage. And while we're on the subject... Why are collectors using these things?!

Which is why, lore wise, this makes no sense.

Gameplay wise, quite enjoyed it, apart from that one time I ran out of ammo vs. Husk waves on Insanity... beating them to death using Adrenaline Rush was such a pain.

So to sumerise, quite liked the actual change, but the reason was just terrible - and it's that I have the issue with.

something I never got, shouldn't the gun cool down on it's own even with the thermal clips? like if you finished a firefight, why throw away the clip instead of just letting it cool down before the next one? and why throw them away at all? just put it into your pack when it overheats so you can reuse it when it cools down.
