I just did start playing Mass Effect 2 yesterday for the first time. I tried to search this topic up incase had been posted before.

Anyway, I entered the clinic that is run by the salarian (Mordis), As soon as I touch the front-desk counter and move along it to get around to the other door, my game glitches. I become stuck to the ceiling. My character rose up from the ground and became stuck to the ceiling. I can move around a little bit, but that's it.   I had to re-load my saved game to try avoid running into the glitch.

This is the STEAM version that I am using to play the game.

I attached a screenshot to show the glitch.

clipping glitch, in which running into wall will cause you to climb the wall. This is very well known, and there are two ways to fix. One is to reload last save, this is perhaps easiest as long as you save often. The other is to try and find an area that lets you get back down, which sometimes works and sometimes gets you into areas you don't expect, which can be both good and game breaking.

Thanks. I figured i had to hug the other end of the wall to attempt to avoid it.

Just be careful because ANY wall can cause it. Some of the lower ones are more common and easier to hit, but hugging walls when running is a bad idea in ME2, try to stay in the center areas when not in combat.
