Besides that, unless someone has loaded them to the Vault somewhere, there is no longer a way to get any of the NWN patches.

Folks just never seem to get things. They always ask fairly stupid questions that bring attention to things that should have been left alone, now ALL that history is gone.
Besides, we knew it was coming, EA hates support, and Bioware's old games are long past making money for Bioware, much less for EA.
Now your Balders Gate forums, etc, all are gone.
No one took the time (me included) to copy/paste the old forum data, we all trusted Bioware, which no-longer really exists as a separate entity, it is just a token name in a big conglomerate that has no bearing on what originally made them big and where the accountants see savings on support by just killing off the old stuff that they see no profit from.
Sucks, doesn't it?

Edit: Found it.
Games > Legacy Games
Ah, look. Only links for it are 3 lousy screenshots. How about a link to this forum and a link to buy it from Good Old Games, eh? It'd be nice if the limited information was useful.

Reminds me of an old Jack Nicholson/Marlon Brando movie called Missouri Breaks where there is a black fade, then a short slashing sound and then a lit close-up of Brando's eyes with Jack's voice saying "That sound you just heard was your throat being cut."
EA is lame.

The ECB guild fora have been backed up in their entiretyHipMaestro wrote...
Well, at least WoG ported over all the ECB builds for players to use.
(probably but for the last 2 builds posted by yours truly) although what
is currently available on the WoG site is not the last updated version.
Definetely.EA is lame.

IIRC the procedure of typing in your CD keys on the legacy site was just an exercise in your own personal security keeping. Should you later on forget your keys, Bioware would have emailed them to you. Also, there was no authentication during the process, so if you had typed them in wrong, those bad entries are the ones which would have been retained and furnished. What is most important is that the codes are listed properly in the ini.Tassie Wombat wrote...
So does this also mean there is no way to register your CD keys? What about setting up an account for multiplayer gaming?
AFAIK the keys are only authenticated (other than during game installation) when/if a Gamespy server checks it, though I may be wrong about that. For playing LAN, they are used to keep the players distinguishable possibly. We played for years on our own network before ever even finding out about the Bioware site and officially "registering" the keys/game.

Sure Chris, blame me for you and your companies lack of foresight.
A simple warning posted in this forum, would have PREVENTED any negative comment, I mean, surely, since you are the "god of information" you had prior warning to such a drastic move.
But, alas, you and yours proved that you don't care much, do first, warn afterwards, and blame the honest fans that have hung on so long for your lack thoughtfulness.
My comment posted earlier in the thread, takes no issue with Bioware, nor you, only with the conglomerate that doesn't care for it's fan base. Your response, singling me out, puts even more emphasis on how little you and yours care for those that helped to make you and your business what you are.
You have personally attacked me in the past as well. Why? Is my forthright honesty too much for you, or does it hit just a little too close to home?
