I'm well aware he's in marketing. That's my point.
Conspiracies!!! Where?
Well, you implied that Silverman ought to be working on making sure the game is good or something when that's simply not even his job. It just seemed like a ridiculously uneducated demand to make. But if you meant to say something else, then consider the remark scrubbed.
RE: All you overzealous FemShep supporters
Lose the persecution complex plz. A lot of your theories and proclamations I find very hard to believe, much less support. Perhaps this is the reason that people that would otherwise be neutral on the issue are so reticient to be glad that Bioware would be doing this now; it seems like simple capitulation. I find it very, very hard to believe that anyone who has played the game wouldn't know that it is possible to play as a female version of the protagonist when every major Bioware game of this decade has had the option.
Bioware is not systematically trying to keep FemShep obscure. Why would they? They made her. They poured a ton of resources into giving her a voice, making the models and the meshes. I can acknowledge that they were a little negligent in her handling in ME2 though, not giving her her own unique animation rig and all. Mostly though I can see the reason that she was not really 'promoted' being that she didn't have a unique facial model the way Sheploo does. Just like canon Darth Revan was male in KoTOR, canon Shepard happens to be Sheploo. The thing is that doesn't have to be YOUR canon (and yes, we get that too. Stop saying it in bold indignant letters.), but from a practical standpoint Bioware had to determine THEIR canon so they could sell a focused product.
"More than I hoped and less than she deserves"? Get off your high horse already.
And yes, I play FemShep. And Shepard. Never have played Sheploo.
