i saw a screenshot floating around today, it could be a photoshopper or a real one. if it is real i saw some things i would like to comment on...
2 disks- is there space enough in the normal DVD sized boxed for a dual mount? (it was done with warhammer online, i hope it is this way with DAO- it was a springy plastic thingy underneath the disks, it worked well)
manual- looked mighty small but i also saw a plain black sleeve that said EA on it and "disk 2"... does disk one sit in the normal DVD spot and disk 2 in a paper sleeve that stashes in the manual compartment???
anyways, if you have seen a copy or have your already please let us ignorant fools know what were getting. i was hoping for a cool color manual but i fear that EA will do the usual 3 page, black and white deal. although it wouldnt be so bad if a full blown "handbook" was released via a PDF, detailing the games rules system as well as class info and some lore.
cheers.
whats the deal with the box, disks and manual...?

That's how I heard it would be done. 3 page starter guide with the full manual in PDF format.

looks neat, but I think you're right about the manual. there's no way a sizable manual will fit in that case... unless it came separate in some larger box.

unless thats the collectors edition box that sits inside of the larger tin case? maybe thats why theres a 2nd disk for the bonus materials?

well, what i mean was, if the CE is a BIG tin case that has a map, game box, etc in it, then maybe that tin case is just a plain old empty box that you stuff everything into...? one half was the normal box and the other half was the cloth map. i hope for the sake of collectors that its not, but it might be...

It usually is. It will have the regular game, then your rave cards, cloth map, etc. They almost have to do it that way to keep the discs in place.

The second disk probably contains bonus content. Having one disk exclusively for just the game itself and a second for extra content allows them to offer just the game, or with extra fluff.

Or they could put the discs in paper sleeves.

The second disc is for the multi-lingual version and contains the extra Voice Over files:
PC
==
English - 1 disk
English/Spanish - 1 disk
English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Czech, Hungarian and Polish - 2 disks
Russian - 1 disk
(Source: Derek French)
Btw, it looks like the 2 discs are stacked on top of each other on the right side.

Yeah, my understanding is that the US version is a single dual layer DVD.
As for the CE, there are reports floating around that the "tin" is the somewhat larger then a normal DVD case style we've seen used on other CE's in recent years. The cloth map is going to be rather thin, I'm guessing.
However, a reviewer on another board posted that the manual was pretty solid, though it did not contain all the details he would have liked, such as a listing of skills and talents.
On the other hand, there is a nice strategy guide being offered.
