Is the language all aliens speak. I think this is a bug? When did Aliens start taking English classes?
I hope they go with what KOTOR series did with the aliens gurgling noises and the speeches. I tried changing the setting in my PS3 to get them to their own language but so far, only the letters are in Alien language

We can presume Shepard has the implant version

That, and having to read subtitles is less convenient for the player, especially when the alien language's lines start to sound recycled after a while (*cough* twi'lek).

Yeaaa sorry, I'd prefer to understand what other characters are saying instead of random alien language.

Not that it would be included, but I recently thought that a translator malfunction in ME3 could prevent Shepard from understanding his squad mates, and could give us a cool few minutes of hearing native languages.

This is already explained in the lore. Everyone uses language translation technology.

If it's going to be just like KOTOR, then no thanks. I found myself skipping dialogue because crap like "una mana tasha" kept repeating over and over and over and over.

I prefer to hear them speaking in a manner I understand just for convenience's sake. Maybe for one mission, your translator broke and you have to get by on faux sign languages? Or you ask your LI to turn off the translator so you can hear their real voice at some point.

Any more than that could get annoying, like it was in Kotor.

i honestly didn't mind it in KOTOR... To the OP, that was one of the things I questioned after beating ME2... Why does everybody speak English... But from what i've heard, everyone has a language implant in them...

The problem in Kotor was that it repeated the same phrases over and over. I memorized some of them before the game was over.

Try to imagine if every character just said something like "Asa dree ova vendebek klaser naa" over and over but it showed different subtitles every time those words came up. To me, that was more immersion breaking than just speaking English.

This is potentially a really awesome idea.

You think so? Suppose I could create a thread in the romances section and see if anyone else likes it too.

@OP:
I'd be okay with hearing them speaking in an alien language but only if it's not overdone and repetitive. Otherwise, better to not be done at all.

@ SennenScale: I know it got annoying, I also started memorizing them :P... Gaming has advanced since then, you're telling me ME3 can't have scenes with foreign dialogue?  Like some have said on this thread, I want a point in the game where Shepard's "translator implant" isn't working for a bit, just so see how some of the aliens speak... It would be sooo cool... just for a little bit...
