They got hacked, if they maintain those old forums they need to upade all the system up to date to avoid any trouble like those hack problem unfortunatly, wich is probably why they changed the forums to these in the first place.
IIn order to access the old content they need to convert the old format tot he one of these forum and make a read only section with a search section, or to give the content to a fansite that will host them.
It's a regretable loss, but acount security comes first.
