There are ways around the fact that the Dark Ritual was optional. A few users on here have entertained the idea and came up with some interesting solutions.

Personally, I'd prefer see an involvement with the old god, as well.

Hopefully nothing to do with DA2, or at least more to do with DAO than 2.

Unfortunately this will never happen, because DA2 didn't even have the decency to tie up its **** of a plotline, and now it's gonna be in DA3. I grew tired of the constant focus on Mages and Templars in DA2. What will it be like in 3?

Trying to bring both the Warden and Hawke's stories together in DA3 would be very difficult, not to mention potentially disappointing. I think they'd have a better shot at rounding Hawke's story.

Tentative plot:

Four months have passed since the uprising of the Circle in Kirkwall. More circles have followed, and a resistance movement is growing under the leadership of Kanos Lemet, a Tevinter mage and former Grey Warden.

In Orlais, the Chantry is at odds as to how best deal with the situation. While the Divine Justinia V calls for peace with the mages, there's a growing sentiment to unleash the fury of the Templar Order under the command of Knight-Vigilant Regan. But the templars are few, and the mages are many, so alliances are being forged throughout Thedas to gather support for another Exalted March.

The Champion of Kirkwall has vanished, gone in a self-imposed exile after the events that tore his new home apart. While he tries to make sense of a world submerged in chaos and his role in it, he meets an old friend who has news most dire: the Qunari are coming, and their intentions are anything but peaceful.

Now Hawke must try to unite a land in disarray that seems determined to go to war.

But in this war... the price of victory... is defeat.

A 450-year (note: actually 420) thriller where you rise to a power level of over 9000 in a single shack.

I don't really care what the plot is, so long as it's bad enough to put the franchise out of its misery. I'd like to think Bioware would go down with Dragon Age, but all signs point to KoTOR being the end of Bioware.

Plot cant be morrigans baby: We already had a "child of a god" game called buldars gate.I wanna see more of a Mythology/religion look into the dragon age world. Namely, Something along the lines investigating if those mages broke into heaven. Maybe they did, maybe they didnt, maybe it wasnt heaven they broke into. So yeah. something set in tevinter would be kinda cool. But I really think it should be a new character. Like hawke was.

they better get morrigan back in there, yeye i know what some of you folks may say now "blabla didnt choe the dark ritual blabla" but in the end morrigan was the best charackter in this game, by far.

they should go for a old god based plot with the warden and morrigan in it. i dont see hawke being a cool charackter at all, i liked my warden and i would like to see how the story is goin on with morrigan.

I really hope they won't force us to play Hawk again, he is just not interesting. I'm more than fine with letting him and his 'plot' fade into oblivion.

I say the Mages vs Templars will be at its high point. We'll travel to Orlais and see something about what Morrigan has been up to.

If memory serves me right, You meet an elf(Leto's sister*) who would have became a magister if everything went with out a hitch, also one of the slavers from DA:O was an Elf, also one of the codex entries says that a tevinter citizen elf was better off than most elves in thedas.

*I hope that's not a spoiler

SPOILER !

Leto = Fenris  and she was Fenris' sister. Magister promised to make her his appreantice if she helps him to capture fenris. But i really doubt his intentions. Imo he was simply using her.

We still have yet to meet another Magister and citizen Elves from Tevinter from codex entries have it better off then the rest of the city elves in thedas, Also from the Elven slaver in DA:O she said that she was a citizen of Tevinter first and an Elf second, Also she scoffed at the idea that because both she and the slaves where elves gave them any kinship so If their citizens then maybe they don't care.

Er, It would be Awkard for Mage Hawke if He/she romanced Fenris and just in general hates the Tevinter Magisters.

the Law of averages states at least on of the Magisters in the History of Magisters is/wasn't a colossal *Expletive*. so Magister Hawke could be the one magister that isn't a baby strangling maniac. Also so far every person we have heard about magisters from is incredibly biases against them.

Hawke teams up with Jacob from ME 2 in search of an interesting personality. Now that would be an epic quest!

The new protagonist will be called Captin Master Awesome and will be a mix of Soap Mactavish, Master Chief, Sev, Kratos and Marcus Fenix.

Starts off with you playing as Morrigan's baby, finding out you will become an archdemon if you don't stop the curse of the blights. You have to somehow forge a truce between the mages and templars because you need them to help you stop the blights for good. They refuse, and you end up having to exile one of them. At some point you realize you've been following Flemeth's plan all along, and have to destroy her to save yourself and the world and reverse the curse of the blights, but the exiled group won't allow it. You end up having to choose between your own life and the fate of Thedas.
Uh, or maybe not :P

Maybe instead you'll play as a tevinder frozen statue who, because of some rip in the fabric of time or something, breaks free and becomes human again. You discover the world is now at the brink of war between mages and templars, and have to resurrect the might of the Tevinter empire in order to restore order to the land.
