From what Okeer and Grunt say, he's a clone of numerous Krogan Warlords. How does that make him pure?

If I had to guess it has a meaning similar to "pure" humans from fallout. Tuchanka has been radioactive for centuries, and the radiation could possibly have degraded the race's gene pool.

Grunt has the best genetic traits of his species and is designed to be a template for the revitalization of the Krogen. Okeer thought the genophage made Krogen weaker because it filters out only the ability to resist the genophage. This lead to the blood rage condition going from 1% to 100% of the population. By adding a perfect krogen to the gene pool Okeer would reintroduce traits that are dieing out because of the genophage hopefully making truely stronger Krogen and the genophage another plebian virus.

It's hinted by EDI that Grunt has as many redundant organs in him than a Krogan can have. Which leads me to believe some Krogan don't get born with as many back up organs. Then we have his strength he is at least built to be as strong as that tank born Krogan that lifted a steel wall and tosed it aside like a cardboard box, he could even be made stronger. Then we have his intel built into him he knows all the weaknesses of everything about every specie's physiology making him great at talking down foot soilders quickly and the weaknesses of every specie's war ships.

Pure might not be right but nearing perfect? That's possible. Also keep in mind that pure could just be Okeer's vision of him as every Korgan born since the Genophage is taken care of even if they are weak, Grunt might be the only true warrior created since the Genophage in Okeers eyes and that would make him 'Pure' in a way.

I think NoUserNameHere and originalgamer89 more or less have the right idea. Grunt is supposed to be the Krogan equivelent of Liquid Snake.

For those who don't follow the Metal Gear Solid games, Liquid Snake was a clone of Big Boss ( supposedly the greatest soldier of hi stime ) and he designed in such a way that he would inherited all of Big Boss' dominnat soldier genes. I think Grunt comes from a similar background, when you take him to Tuchanka he lists of several famous Krogan warlords an says that he comes from thier line. I think Okeer basically took the best genes from some of the best Krogans Warlords that ever lived an dused them to create Grunt.

Both of you are incorrect. Grunt is fully genophaged, and even his enhanced genetic makeup has not either removed the genophage or made him immune to it. EDI points out that he has the genetic markers of the Genophage.

When Okeer said that he would make it so that the Genophage would be ignored, he meant that the Krogan would rise to power again regardless of the effects of the Genophage. Note that he did not want to cause a Krogan population explosion because he understood that the result would be the genocide of the Krogan (in that sense, he agrees with Mordin).

Okeer's goal with gunt was to create a Krogan template that would breed into the population and force the struggles that would leave thousands dead, but only the thousands of weak krogan that cannot survive the rise of the Krogan descended from his "pure" template: Gunt.

Okeer created Grunt without having to reproduce. That's how he ignored the genophage.

When did EDI say Grunt bears the genetic markers of the genophage? It's been a while since I've played ME2 since my lovely wife decided to jack it so she can play it.

EDI mentions the genetic makeup of grunt when you talk to her about opening up the tank. IIRC, there is an option to ask EDI what she can tell you about Grunt before you open the tank.

The Krogan born today are handled with kid gloves because there are so few being born. The Genophage doesn' tproduce stronger Korgan only Krogan that could survive the Genophage. Okeer is a Darwinist who believes in natural selection and sees the Genophage as something that's slowly destroying the Krogan's strength.

Grunt holds the genetics of the strongest Krogan and the inel of the smartest generals he is the strongest Krogan probably since Wrex if not more so.
