Ok, i´ve finished the game now, but am left wondering what sense some loot has.

For example, what are the private documents/business lists for? Same for the empty scrolls you get.

Also i got a "bloody key" in Shales town, which set useless in my inventory during the whole game.

Last but not least, have things like Garments, the whole jewlery and gems any use except for selling?

The bloody key can be used to open Olaf's chest, which is just outside a house as you enter Shale's village.

The gems, malachite, Amethyst, sapphires and topazes can be used to hand into the dwarves in your camp. 10 garnets can be used to complete a quest, the rest are vendor fodder. Remarkable gems are used to gift to Shale for approval.



I never found a use for the documents and ended up vendoring them all with no apparent consequences

i know love letters are used in a quest aswell

rumour has it that business docs are used to reduce prices at vendors. Target a single vendor and sell them all to get a discount.
