I rather like Samara's look it. It has this feeling of a goddess, real regal and powerful and mysterious. It's sexy, but at the same time, respectful. Hard to explain, but she pulls it off.

She does, oddly.

I only take issue with stupid outfits when they infringe upon the character, as was the case of Miranda until AAP2.  I mean, sure, one butt-zoom would have been okay and a funny little joke, and Bioware had the grace to make fun of themselves in-game for it, but after a while it got a bit annoying.

Like I said, sexy is okay.  In fact, it's great!  But there's more to beauty than large breasts and firm buttocks.  It comes in all shapes and sizes, and in many cases it takes time to discover and won't be seen by everyone.  Let the character come first--let the player fall in love with that.  Let his or her personality and uniqueness shine through.  Because, to be honest, when we find something sexy, we find it that way largely by accident.

Rippling muscles?  Lush lips?  Whatever.  Garrus is an ugly space dinosaur and Tali has chicken legs and no face.  Not that I don't like rippling muscles and lush lips, but they're more fun when not every major bang-able character has them.

Also, confirmed that Ash has armor?  YES.  SO HAPPY.

This is exactly what I am talking about.

Hell I would love a Ripley cameo... coming down in one of those cargo robot exoskeletons kicking some reaper ass...
I think the clothing choices were ambivalent, I certainly liked looking at miranda's perfectly round shaped butt but it was kind of stupid. Hmmm one idea: shouldn't the armor/clothing be torn apart after getting hit some time... just saying ^^

While we're at it, can we talk about how ridiculous Jacob looked?

I found it bizzarre that from the waist up, he was clearly armored... and from the waist down... spandex. It just seemed like a reaaally weird choice for someone to dress like that.

At least Miranda had the sense to go alll out ho-bag in her dressing... she's consistant at least :P

(Oh and Appearance pack 2 was worth the cost alone to fix Miranda's appearance.. I find I can finally show some respect to her when she talks now when wearing that armor,  ... I just could never take her seriously dressed in the spandex)

What good is a birthday present when you can already tell what it looks like through the wrapping?

Yeah. I want more armor when the characters are out on the field, but not when they are in the ship. That is when they get their down time. Out on the field, that's when they face extreme, intense conditions. I don't care about looking sexy or hot when facing gun fire. I care about function and that means armor.

Perhaps the entire cast and crew should outfit themselves with Trappist monastery garb.

Didn't bother me too much.
The breast size got increased compared to ME 1 though on all female characters.
It's like for 2 years while Shepard was dead breast implants made a return or something
A bit disapointed in Ashley's catsuit though, I thought she was supposed to be tomboyish, instead she got Mirandaed :-/

Also Samara's outfit was ridiculous, blatantly using her Biotic powers to maintain her dignity.

Actually I believe Samara's outfit is one of the most respected and dignified pieces of clothing in Asari culture. It just so happen by complete chance that it is extremely sexy to human eyes...

Ah yes "revealing outfits", a steriotype generated by the human mind. We have already dismissed that claim.

In asari culture, the forehead and neck are considered to be far more sexual than bewbs. Therefore, by asari standards, Samara is in fact the least sexualized female in the game. Or so I hear.

That would be just as bad as if they were all tight-suited booby bimbos.

Why?

ABSOLUTE MINIMAL VARIETY THAT SWINGS WAY TOO FAR IN ONE DIRECTION AND LOOPS BACK AROUND TO SEXISM.

I think all the women should wear burkhas.

It is rediculous to see attractive women in the game. I am outraged.

Oddly, women are shown in bikinis for the same reason they are told to wear burkhas:

Penis.

Padme and Leia a good examples of sci-fi female clothing too. Especially from Attack of the Clones and Return of the Jedi :P.

I found some of the onboard clothing over-(actually under)-done but there are some cultural/personality arguments that can be done to that.

I do want logical female armor for battles though.

However speaking more of female models. I've allways felt that games needed more non-perfect people. Goes for male models too...

I can't make an mshepard with my manboobs or potbelly :(

I don't mind the way women look in the game as long as it is tasteful. Samara pulled it off with that look because of who she is, she just has this way about her. Jack is a rebel and most if not all who rebel, dress in a way that speaks out against conformity.
But I would like to see female models show some diversity through height, etc. Heck even the male models need to show diversity too. :)

I am ok with using the same body model, because it won't break immursion for me, just would be nice to see people from the same species show differences other then skin color and hair style. :)
