[Big Wollen]

After having played with dlc for 4 days. the game wont authorize any of it, which is quite a bummer. The dlc is still registered to my account on this site so it cant well be that.
Any help would be apreciated.
I have the Digital Deluxe edition of steam btw.

The same is happening to me, i dont even have the deluxe version i bought Wardens Keep and its saying the same thing! This started after i got the 1a patch (or whatever its called) maybe it has somthing to do with that?

I have the same problem at times, sometimes the Wardens Keep or The Stone Prisoner won't authorize and I have to restart the game a bunch of times and even then it might not work. Hopefully a patch will come out and fix it soon.

I just installed the 1.0b patch and its working. Maybe the 1.0a patch messed it up?

I tried logging out and then in again... it still didnt work. Then i just tried starting a game without logging in and it works fine, what gives? I bought this via steam if it has anything to do with it.

Before launching the game, check that DAUpdaterSvc service is running.

Can you post your log file? it should be in My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Logs\\DragonAge_1.log

if you cant find it, seach for DragonAge_1.log.

you only need to post your latest run, since the log file has all runs since the game started

This is your problem. It cant connect and authorize. you got any 3rd party firewall or antivirus running?

All that other stuff is only happening localy, without talking to EA/Bioware servers.

I had the windows firewall running, but i disabled it when i saw it pop up. Don't know how it was enabled as its been disabled since i installed the OS on this pc. And i tried loading the game after i turned it off, same problem.

try and start services.msc

windows start button, then run, then type "services.msc" and run it. (might be different if not using xp)



You should get a list of services run in windows. lockup Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater

and see if it's running

Oh i see, its not running. And i guess thats because i recently changed steam from C: to D:, and since i really didnt want to download 15gb again i just copy pasted after reinstalling steam. How do i fix the path to launch it?

C: is for OS only and 30gb, didnt know steam games would be put in that folder >.< so after installing  DA:O i couldnt install MW2 :/

what do you mean, you copy pasted it? you mean the directory you installed it to? If you did, that doesnt work, casue alot of things in the background has the files at a certain place, and you cant just move it, without reinstalling the game.

Bah, lame, i have a digital download, thats why i didnt want to reinstall it. Downloading everything again kinda sucks :/ But thanks for the help.

are you sure steam didnt keep the install files? My EA download did, so I dont have to redownload

and dont forget to backup your savegames and your profile if reinstallin

How do you keep the install files if you remove them locally(which as far as i know is the only way to uninstall games through steam)

what do you mean remove them locally? did you delete them? Not 100% sure what you mean, but I'm Swedish and english is my second language so =)

Well you said Steam keeps the install files? I just deleted DA:O and i have to download the full 15gb again. The reason for me just copy pasting the game was to avoid that, but obviously the game broke because of it So just nevermind and thanks for the help.^^

But what I ment was, that install files are usually kept at a different place. not the place you install the game to. my ea download for instance has the Install files kept in E:\\EA_downloads, but the game is installed in d:program:bla bla

My downloadable content won't authorize, and I can't talk to Shale anymore, if I try to the game flips out and my characters end up in some void area.
