I'd also like to see casual hats. Always been jealous of Joker for that.

well, i suppose they've been around since the Middle Ages , so why not.
but they don't have to be American Eagle Outfitters like. Hope they're something like a retro theme adapted to 22nd century flavor which the devs can speculate over. Cotton interwoven with some high tech fabric and gadgetry to enhance whatever ...
i actually kinda like the casual wear in ME2 , except for the wrist and forearm brace , i can't figure what they're for.

Does anyone actually wear that hideous "smuggler/pirate" casual outif ton the Normandy? WHo the hell designed that? Is it a joke?
I think the inspiration for that outfit came from the film "Outland", the designers spent time looking at some 80's sci-fi films like "Blade Runner". There's a henchman in Outland who's got a life jacket/body warmer type thing on and one of the designers liked it. If I'm remembering it right, it's mentioned in one of the videos that comes on the "Bonus Disc" version of ME1.

Wonder if BioWare'll implement the 'helmet toggle' for it - that way, we can have it 'hood up/hood down'...

YES Totally agree with that one. He's already got the ship and the crew. Why stop now.

Heck yeah Holland! What a dude. As I recall he mostly walked around in swimming trunks and sandals for no particular reason.Cutlass Jack wrote...

I can't wait for this. Shepard walks out of the elevator in nothing but a hoodie and boxers, stretches and yawns, picks a location on the galaxy map, then makes his way back to the elevator while scratching his bum.
....
I need to go make a douchebag Shepard.
But really, I think the hoodie is a cool little extra, I just can't imagine Shepard doing anything serious in it.
Heh. Would remind me of Holland in Eureka 7. He was always wearing awkward clothing around the ship.
Although it did befit the Gekkostate's status as a bunch of surfers who just happened to also be freelance commandos.

It doesn't really fit the setting, but if you think it looks cool go for I guess.
I agree.
Considering Shep's background as an Alliance Marine, his smuggler/pirate outfit made little sense. I can understand if he was trying to be incognito in Omega, but it didn't make much sense for him to be wearing it abord the Normandy, and as such, it looks stupid. But to each their own!
About the hoody...
I don't however have a problem with Shep having an N7 hoody. Military personnel wear sweats too, for PT (physical training) in colder climates. He'd likely have sweatpants and a sweatshirt of some sort as part of his official uniform issue. So Shep walking around on the Normandy with a hoody on, would make sense. Maybe he just came from lifting weights or running on a treadmill.

But hey, if Shep can't get a hat to wear, could he/she at least get a couple of new haircuts to choose from, even if they are just retreads of NPC haircuts? The haircuts available to the player were terrible.

I actually liked the ME1 uniforms much better than the Cerberus ones. Something about the Cerberus pants looked wierd to me.

More haircuts, definitely. What would also be nice is if you could change the haircuts on your imported Shepards without having to rebuild their entire face. New haircut ≠ intensive plastic surgery this time around.
While I can understand why people would feel that having Shepard wearing a hoody might be unprofessional, you really have to think - by ME3, the Normandy is pretty much Shepard's home now. And at least every once in a while, people do want to wear comfortable things around the house, and the Normandy's all she/he's got. Any property Shep might have owned/rented would probably have been sold during the period of time he/she was considered dead. Now that the Normandy is finally Shepard's, why shouldn't she/he relax during downtime? .

It's cool to have to goof off with and have a nice laugh, but that's about it. I'm not getting the CE for that... but for the other in-game content and the lithograph.

Modern military personnel get issued sweat pants and a sweat shirt as part of their official uniform issue, for PT (physical training) in cold climates. So Shep walking around with a hoody isn't necessarily as 'unprofessional' as some have made it out to be. It may be part of his uniform issue.
