With Mass effect 3 coming out next year, I think its safe to say that Bioware isn't going to do anything about the remaining bugs. Its sad that the Bioware staff have resorted to ignoring consumers on the forums. Everyone knows how often people have posted about the audio lag. But have any Bioware staff members responded to the issue? Have they even mentioned it? No. They have hid behind a wall of pathetic silence in an attempt to keep the issue out of sight and out of mind. I only keep posting about this because neglecting the customers who make your brand is unacceptable and I think consumers shouldn't have to accept a broken product.

Indeed this behaviour from them will not go unnoticed from PS3 gamers. I myself WILL NOT buy Mass Effect 3 until I make sure the game is playable without any glitch whatsoever. I might even pass on the game if we get treated the same way again. AAA titles coming out throughtout the year anyway like Skyrim and so on so I won't give a flyinf F**k about Mass Effect 3 if its broken

Recently, the developer CD Projekt Red (who is behind the witcher series) told Eurogamer site the following:
After finishing the pc version, we are focused on Xbox 360. Obviously that doesn't mean we would not like to do PS3 later on in line, like next after that. We would love to. Yes, I can say we would love to after finish creating the Xbox 360 version. So what's the hold up? The approach we have for the projects. We want the console versions to be the best possible and not just a pc port. Switching from PC to Xbox 360 was quite straightforward. We already have people that have done 360 games on board. Right now we're on the look out for a good PS3 developer, so it might happen.

Now I want to compare CD Projekt Red attitude with Bioware's attitude based on the previous text. CD Projekt Red focuses each time on a single version in order to create the best game for the specific platform. These guys always try to take the best from each platform and use the platform's strengths/advantages for optimum results. They know that they don't have enough experience on the PS3 and therefore they will start developing the witcher 2 ps3 version together with another developer with sufficient ps3 experience (and only after finishing the xbox 360 version). On the other hand Bioware develops SO MANY projects simultaniously (just look at how many games and dlc are developed recently and DRAGON AGE 3 is already in the works!). For Bioware quantity is what matters most instead of quality. The ps3 version of ME2 was unacceptable and I'm afraid (judging from their actions and attitude) that ME3 will also be a rushed port. There is no way they could obviate releasing ME3 in Q1 2012 by using xbox 360 as the leading platform during development and obtain a ME3 decent ps3 port (especialy without managing to fix the ME2 audio problem). I don't regret selling my  ME2 copy and I definately wont buy ME3.

Glad to see smaller developers like CD Projekt with way less funds than the 'mighty' Bioware take that approach. If you want to release it on a platform make sure its perfect then release it. If its too hard for you to do then DON'T we dont need your game

I'm thoroughly disgusted by the way BioWare decided to handle this situation. Releasing a high profile game with such a major glitch and further refusing to comment on it, let alone patch it - that is simply unacceptable.

I tried the 1.03 patch a few days ago, I had up until then been on 1.00. And indeed audio glithes and a few crashes as well, which occurred even quicker.

The main reason I bought ME2 was on recommendation from a game developer friend , who told me it is like an interactive movie. Hence the need for glitch free audio.

So I reverted back to 1.00

As a point of reference I have played ME close to 300 hours,

You people do realise that its EA who provides the official tech support for this game dont you? If you want it patched, you deal with EA's support to get the support ticket raised, and thus get the numbers adding up for particular bugs, then they would have grounds to put resources towards fixing them.
If you just come to the user to user based support forums and make a complaint, nothing will happen. Not defending Bioware/EA, just stating that if you want action on it, you have to follow the correct procedure.

Actually they did say they were looking into it, sort of. What they said in one of the threads about this issue, is that every bug that is reported on this board gets forwarded to ME2 PS3 bug testing department and until they find the cause, create a fix and summit a working patch for the problem for certification that they legally can't say any more then that.

And like Bogsnot1 said if you really need to badger someone about the problem, contacting EA/Bioware directly would help more than complaining here to get a fix.
