I wonder what is the ratio to console vs pc gamers for mass effect.
I am almost certain in respect to dragon age pc gamers out number console gamers on that one. I will really surprised if it was the reverse.

I'm gonna build a new PC for Mass Effect 3 so I can play it in 1920x1080 at 60 frames per second. I'm a console gamer as well but I think a cinematic game like Mass Effect 3 would be best on a system that uses the full potential of my monitor and audio setup.
My consoles are reserved for sports and Nintendo games.
Don't forget that Skyrim's on the horizon as well. You owe it to yourself to make sure your new rig is ready!

PC's: Rich people.
Of course PC is always better, but it costs a yacht and a half to build a decent rig. Consoles are affordable, and that's all there is to it.

I also own ME2 on PS3,and I also plan on pre-ordering the CE at Gamestop.(Extras.)
Soon I will also own all 3 on PC,as I am nearly finished building my gaming PC. I can not wait to learn how to MoD the ME's on PC.!.

It costs maybe 300$. You dont need to start from scratch unless your PC is 5years+ old. 200$ for the card 100$ for the CPU = 60fps in all areas @ 2048x1152 (my monitor is slightly higher than full HD).
My CPU cost me 60$ 1 year ago, and the card 200, 2 years ago. So I think you are way off.

That said...PC gamer here. I'll be selling my PS3 soon, so will only be left with my (future) PC. You can buy a lot of computer for your money these days; when I first got into PC gaming, you "had to" buy a bleeding edge PC every couple of years with your life's savings if you wanted to max everything out and keep up with the game. But these days, modern PC's have incredible power under the hood, and even a relatively cheap gaming rig will muscle through most games.

Consoles are far more affordable than PC's and there's far less you have to actually tinker with on a console for those who are less than technically inclined.MrBigglesworth79 wrote...

Every time a PC game comes out, one of the first questions are
1. What are the Minimum Requirements?
2. Can my PC run this on the highest specs?
3. How much more will I have to pay to run at the highest specs?
When a game for the xbox is announced, it's the same as it was 5 years ago, you know that you will be able to run the game immediately out of the box without problems, without fear of "Error 76476374" or Compatability errors with any hardware you might have installed.
1.Consoles don't get viruses.
2. A lot of people who have HDTV's cannot use that TV with their PC.
3. Not everyone likes the Mouse and Keyboard interface with every game. For Starcraft 2, I'm sure it's wonderful, but when I played The Witcher 2, I found myself wishing I had a controller to move him around.
There are plenty of pros about PC gaming. But most of them do not matter if you're not interested in learning how the actual tech works.
Alot of the pros include:
1. Easy to install Patches that fix simple bugs
2. Modding/Custom Content
But in the end, lets say I dont' even know what a graphics card is, and I work 70 hours a week at my restaurant, and I also sculpt in my free time, and I spend a lot of time on riding my motorcycle, the ACCESSABILITY of Console gaming is far more attractive to me than having to think over all the small features.
It has nothing to do with your intelligence. It has to do with the amount of time you wish to invest.

That's just the problem, me and every console gamer that I know have five year plus old computers. Being poor sucks, and so we can't do it. We aren't in this boat because we want to be, hell, anyone who says they are is merely being ignorant. Wish I had the money for that, but I have to stick with my Xbox... My computer is in fact from 2004 with a Nvidia 6200 graphics card and still uses BUS RAM... Gotta love my crap-computer, and it still troops on, I can run Oblivion on full settings.MrBigglesworth79 wrote...

I thought the same at first, but now I can't fathom playing TW2 with a controller. =p
Anyways, I flip-flop back and forth between the console and PC. But to answer the OP, I have played both ME and ME2 on the Xbox, as since the game was originally a 360 exclusive, and since I had already invested a significant amount of time on the game, I decided to keep my ME experience on the console.

If ME3 sells 2 million copies on the consoles, about only 100,000 to 200,000 of those units sold on PC.... we're a tiny percentage of the total gaming community... hence why many developers just outright ignore us.
Console gamers laugh at PC gamers for how tiny we are compared to them in terms of numbers.... about the only people we PC gamers can laugh at are MAC gamers

Console gaming doesn't deplete the experience as some PC gamers would have you believe. It's different but not worse. I'm used to it and I enjoy it more than I'd do on a PC.
