Well I suggest you lower your dpi, or pointer speed, or mouse sensitivity options. Also mind that auto-aim is lower or non-existent in PC games.you move your mouse and then you're looking behind yourself
I feel like the only one...

I've always been baffled at how people can play shooters on a PC especially when using a mouse to aim. Those things are too inaccurate and quick moving for my tastes. <snip>
I'll.... just leave that alone.. probably for the best.
Think what you will (and I know most people think it's the other way around), but IMO using a mouse is just.... terrible. You want to move just a little to the right... you move your mouse and then you're looking behind yourself. Whereas, I can pull off headshots with ease with a controller.
It's all about tastes though.
It is indeed all down to personal preference.
Though on a technical side, even the cheapest 10 dollar mouse has a greater input accuracy than a controller... it's digital vs analog input... a mouse has pixel perfect precision, a controller does not (this is why almost all shooters on consoles use aim assist, to comepensate for the limitations of analog input).
If you're having difficutly placing your crosshairs exactly where you want them with a mouse, then you've simply got your mouse sensitivity far too high - lower it in the game options (or in your Windows settings) and you'll find it perfectly fine to control.
But again it comes to preference.... but on a technological level, the scan rate & frequency of a mouse is infinitely finer than a what a controller can achieve... but it does take some time to get accustom to knowing how to play with a mouse (just like it takes time to learn how to play with a controller... I for one can't hit the broadside of a barn with a Xbox controller when playing a shooter... cus I don't play it often enough).

Personally, I'd rather sit in my game chair, looking at my 42 inch Flat Panel LCD television, with my Razer Onza Tournament Edition controller, playing games that way.
Just a preference. Last PC game I played was Age of Mythology. GREAT game, that was.
I don't get this...I can either enjoy Mass Effect 3 on my pretty powerful PC, with a great sound card, excellent 5.1 speakers and extremely comfortable chair or I can just as easily play it on my tv. We aren't in the 90's it is possible to play PC games on tv.

She is correct. The biggest issue I find playing PC FPS games is the pixels themselves. On console everybody is limited (yes they are limitations, don't kid yourself otherwise) to the same hardware, aim sensitivity, and lag speed. Everybody is equal and this can be a good or bad thing depending on the person. In the PC market sometimes it isn't so much about whoever has the best reflexes or the fastest APM (lol Starcraft players know what I'm talking about) but who has the strongest machine with the most frames per second and who has the most advanced mouse capable of detecting the slightest motion.Hathur wrote...

Perhaps that is why some people have difficulty transitioning from console to PC and vice versa, but that does not make one better than the other.

Edit: my PC isn't really up to the task of playing current gen games right now anyway. I'm still playing KotOR on it though

I have ME for the PC & 360, paid for both. I have ME2 for the PC & 360, Bioware gave me the PC version free for getting DA2, paid for the 360 version. ME3 I reserved it for the 360 at Gamestop and won't get it for the PC unless Bioware gives it away free.squee365 wrote...
...who is planning on purchasing ME3 for a console. I've played (and am continuing to play) both Mass Effects on the xbox 360. But, just from observing other threads on this forum, I feel outnumbered as it seems a lot of people here are primarily PC gamers. So I am just wondering, am I alone or are there other forumgoers who actually are planning to get the console version of the game?

I do however plan to play it on 360 once i can get a new one. I want to see how the side stuff will effect ME3 since it seems we will finally see those play out too.

I will never understand favouring accelerated analogue stick aiming over the speed and accuracy of a mouse.wizardryforever wrote...
I buy shooters for 360, because it feels so much more awesome to pull a trigger to shoot a gun than to click a mouse button.

I play console strictly. Never liked PC gaming. Too much hassle.
Mostly this. And for reasons Javier stated. Still, though, it's not like I wouldn't like to have extra PC copies of some games like Mass Effect and the new Fallout games for making hi-res screenshots and playing with mods.

So, I'll be getting it for the PS3. My brother (whom I got into the game) will buy it for the 360.

Id advise you do it while your Elite works so you can transfer the data. Newer 360s are the Wifi model and their Harddrive seems different. Just a word of advice so you can get your ME data over with one ofthe 360 portable memory units ive seen before.

But when it comes to ME3, I'm purely 360 until another Steam deal for ME3.
