The Illusive Man is already part husk. He got his weird eyes from partial contact with a Reaper artifact that turned people into husks.

If a volus is turned into a husk, I wonder if it would still be wearing its environmental suit? I'm guessing husks don't breathe. My curiosity is killing me now.

I keep hoping some small part of it survived, retained its memories, and is regrowing somewhere. I still really want to trawl its memories to see how old it really was and what other lifeforms it may have come across. Or maybe there's another one on another world. Slim chance, I know, but I'll keep my fingers crossed until I've played through ME3.
