I have no idea how to fix this. I downloaded 1.02 patch, but Mass Effect still won't load right. It will go to the black screen then exit it out. Is there a way to fix this?
EDIT!!
I found out it was my graphics card. I just installed it on a different computer herp.

There's no way in the world to answer. You chose not to offer enough information to do much of anything with, sorry. There are pinned Stickies on top to refer to (that is another way of saying that I do not believe that you have read what was up there for its content).

What kind of information do you need? I bought a value games copy from someone on ebay. They claimed it could be play on Windows 7, and there's two disks I'm unsure what the second one does.
edit:
http://www.iaza.com/...72040410300.png It pops up with this, goes to the black screen, but then it stops and exits off the game.
edit2:
I also looked at the stickies, and those aren't really that helpful to me.

This is the one you need: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/131/index/2012975

No one can solve a problem without taking a proper look at it. Post your hardware specs (GPU, CPU, RAM) and driver versions.

Since you imply that Windows 7 is the problem, though we can't know for certain, try running the game in Windows XP compatible mode as administrator. you can do this by locating the Mass Effect executable in the install folder, right clicking it, going to properties and then the compatibility tab.

Im on win 7 64 bit and the game works fine, you could try launching the game from the
path/ MassEffect/Binaries/MassEffect.exe,
and miss out using the
path/MassEffect/MassEffectLauncher.exe file ,

this work around has been used for a while,, the problem lies with the launcher and multi core cpu systems and not win7

You have Intel graphics which are listed as unsupported.

What helped me on win7 64/U, was to install as admin (run as administrator), and to use the windows troubleshooting utility - right click on the installer executable, and Windows will take it from there.

It's also solved a lot of hassle for me to run the game in WinXP SP2 compatibility mode.
