Look at this, bioware asking for money. Not surprising at all. You guys suck and who cares if your a bioware writer. thats about as prestigious as being a call of duty writer.

tl;dr not giving money to bioware or any other charity. Knowing bioware those are all just proxy sites for them to rake in more money to feed to their overlords at EA

Could you be even more narrow minded? *facepalm*

 BioWare should have a fund raiser for CF and if they raise a target amount they should promise to cure Thane. Two Birds.

I always expected as Mordin or Chakwas could treat or save some crew members(like Thane and Garrus) at some point in first gameplay. But that opportunity wasn't given by Bioware. It was one of the biggest dissapointments for me in ME2. I hope Thane's situation will be better in ME3.

Thank you for posting this! ^ _ ^ I actually have Cystic Fibrosis, and when I first found Thane I thought, "This sounds just like me!" :P That's why I fell in love with his character. :) I have been a part of the cf foundation. I hope your friend is feeling well. I know how hard it can get! :/

My older brother passed away from complications of CF over two years ago. We were both huge fans of Mass Effect and we both beat ME2 with our respective Shepards a couple of months before he passed on. He told me that he was looking forward to ME3 after we finished.
Thane was one of his favorite characters from ME2. It was painful for me to watch Thane's death at Huerta in ME3 the first time due to similarities of my brother's passing. I felt that the scene was very well crafted and executed. Thank you to the writers on the ME3 team!

Wow. I'm so sorry for your brother.
Thank you for sharing.

I wish I could say this in a more eloquent way but that is a truly moving story. I guess, from now on, when I see the memorial scene I'll always remember your story.

For anyone who would like to donate towards research and providing services to those with cystic fibrosis in Australia, click on the following link;

Thanks for the details.

I'm so lucky that my life and the lives of those I love haven't been touched by serious illness.  It is too easy to forget that others are suffering.  My family have donated what we can.

I love the ME series,  It has detailed characters, and one of the best character arcs I have ever seen in any medium, that of Mordin Solus.  But it's still just a story for me.

I  pray that the resonances between Thane in a story and your brother help you in real and tangible ways.

God Bless.

p.s.: I agree, MaximizedAction.  Though I might not know his name, I will mentally place it on the Memorial wall whenever I play ME3.
