Hello everyone, as of this update, the ride is over. This is indeed, the final update. Make sure to keep the thread on the first page, thank the contributors, and read our closing comments here (There's also a short comic in there). Have fun with ME3 and see you around!

SIGNATURES

So guys, Phaedon asked me to do some signatures to promote the thread. I based them off the Character Powers Screens we've seen so far. I made some different sizes, but I'm open to more suggestions! If you need other sizes or tweaks, just ask! Also, some feedback about them is appreciated! [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/wizard.png[/smilie]

So, I got a little creative! [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/wizard.png[/smilie]

I imagined with all the multiplayer info going around, I wanted to build a sig system that allowed people to customize their sig with race and class and at the same time keep it uniform among everyone!

Turns out its not that hard! Here's what I did using the new banners from the Multiplayer Doc!

Here's how it works: Pick a race and a class and put those two side by side! You should do something like so:

Posted ImagePosted Image

It might be too flexible, since it lets you create unavailable combinations from the game, but what the heck! At least it's highly customizable! [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/wizard.png[/smilie]

This project's 1+ year journey is over. We hope that you had as much fun as we did while occupying yourself with this thread. Here are some of the closing comments of the contributors. (With joining date order)

"Well, can't wait to see work something with you again in future, Phaedon.

It was a pleasure."

-Mesina2

While every contributor did an amazing job at keeping the KF thread alive with information, the real thank you goes to everyone in the community who volunteered as well, providing info, keeping the thread alive, giving us laughs, etc. It has been great fun, and I'm glad I was a part of it, as should everyone who contributed to the KF thread. Everyone deserves a tap on their back.

But in the end, special thanks goes to Phaedon, for taking his time to provide us with info from the very beginning. I lift my sombrero for you, my fellow caballero. Hope life treats you well, amigo. So despedida for now, until we ride again :)

-Chewin3

Haha, I'm not sure of what I can say really, but here goes a try!

I'm really glad of the work we all did to bring people up to speed on Mass Effect 3, and that people appreciated it enough to look for it everyday. This was strictly from the community to the community!

I loved working on the thread. I wasn't related to keeping the info in order as much as everyone else, but I hope that everyone liked seeing all the banners, signatures and other stuff I did as much as I liked making them.

So thank you Phaedon, for starting this, and everyone else, contributor or no, for keeping it going as smoothly as possible.

Keelah se'lai!

-Iohanna

Stay classy People.

Yeah I couldnt think of anything better hehe

-D3MON-SOV3R3IGN

Just wanted to say thanks to Phaedon for doing this and everyone else who contributed. I know I came late to the contribution list (outside of Twitter stuff) but it was fun working with you guys nonetheless!

Thanks for the ride, folks. See you on the other side.

-Vertigo_1

Last goodbyes to the community? Heh. It's not like anyone's leaving BSN forever. Don't know, not me for sure. Got way too much popcorn saved for troll-threads before I can quit.

But, uh, I guess it was fun! Met lots of cool people in this nuthouse, and though it wasn't much, it was nice to feel like I'm doing something productive and appreciated, more or less. However, I still don't understand why this is such a big deal. Remember you guys...

Mass Effect's not over yet.

-Roflchoppaz

Well, I think that everyone has said whatever there was to say. But in the risk of getting repetitive, let me say it again. Any interaction of this project with anyone but the community, and yet, (that anyone does include BioWare, sorry guys), has been counter-productie, if not detrimental. Therefore, I'd like to thank the community, be it on BSN or on Twitter.

I'd also like to thank the contributors for doing such an inspiring job.

Mesina for well, pretty much everything, Chewin for the Multiplayer doc, Iohanna for the incredible graphics work, D3M0N for the Enemies page, Vertigo, not only for the recent help with this project, but mostly the community service on the Twitter thread, as well as roflchoppaz, for keeping up the screenshots gallery.

I'm also saying goodbye for a couple of months with this update. I'll be back on BSN, I promise! (Masochistic tendencies rarely get cured :D), but until then, I'd like to concentrate on my already busy life. So, have fun everyone, and enjoy, Mass Effect 3.

-Phaedon

I also need to congratulate Chewin3 for this post. He took an inside joke we have had for months, and produce awesome out of it.

Alright, Chewin. Challenge accepted.

Here are three comic pages detailing the history of the contribution syste.

And remember, folks calibrations are always elementary.

I have made a small, but important change to the thread title.

Why? Well, "Confirmed" is a very strong word. It has a sound of "set in stone" and "unchangeable" about it. And, as all smart fans know, this far out from release, things can change. What is known now, may not be in the final product (anyone remember mako customization?). This shoudl be common sense, but you'd be surprised at the number of people who come back to me saying "the forum thread I read promised that X was in teh game? Why did you cut it" or similar. What you know now may change. It is a better term.

I appreciate the time, effort and help Phae and everyone has put in collecting this thread, but Known features is the term to move forward with. So thanks again for the effort on this thread. Have at 'er.

That's fine, Known has a nice ring to it anyway. :D

edit: oh and I was wondering if I could offer a different caution sign since the one in the OP has the white pixels around the black border.

here's one, but maybe yellow is prefered?

Awesome.
I think that you should add the following dev promises, kinda old but I couldn't find any of these in the new shiny OP:

the field of view during combat will be larger:
http://twitter.com/#...005014964899840
CGaspur: "Have you been reading complaints from DocSeus :P we have made camera adjustments so the FOV is wider in general"

Shepard will be more respnsive and combat animations will be quicker:
http://twitter.com/#...837817122562048
CGaspur: "Yes our talented animators are making many of Shepards actions smoother and more responsive!!"

transitions will be smoother:
http://twitter.com/#...863234822905856
gtez: "Not specifically about elevators, but I can say we've put a lot of work into transitions to make sure they are more immersive.

Shepard will be probably be able to steer while sprinting, sprinting controls have been refined:

http://twitter.com/#...818597236183040
"In ME2, sprinting limited "steering" Shepard left or right- is he gonna be more agile and tactile in ME3 when running?"
PWatamaniuk: "@hagren @CGaspur has been tuning that system. I am liking the results way more than ME2."

http://twitter.com/#...767922225692672
CGaspur: "Sprinting controls have been refined in ME3"

a couple of things that were promised via Twitter, but I couldn't find the source:
*sprinting limit will be removed
*Ashley gets an armor

edit: I think that the CE's features are worthy of a mention too. At least the in-game bonuses.
edit 2: and I think that Kinect support is ready to move to the known features section, as it is obviously no longer a rumor.

The list is wrong.

There IS multiplayer. A HUGE amount of multiplayer apparently. Not good.
