Hey I'm just jumping in for the first time, so excuse my ignorance. Does anyone know if the intro for the leaked beta is the actual intro for the game? I kind of expected more story before the reapers attacked.

The leaked beta was heavily unfinished. I seriously doubt it.

Doesn't bother me so much, because I already play a human in ME3 (Shepard).

I'm gonna play a krogan in co-op anyway.

I highly doubt it because we never saw what happened to everyone else before the reaper attacked.

The ME1 to ME2 transition had some kind of story to it, your ME1 team being on patrol and then getting attacked. 

I'd imagine they would do the same with ME3.

A few squadmates also said that they are leaving after the suicide mission.

I think it was Samara, because she said that if she survives this mission she'll go to Omega to fight injustice. Kasumi and Zaeed were just hired for this mission from Cerberus. So they'll leave, too.

The other ones we'll see in march I think

Maybe it's better that way. I am writing as I go, and the result isn't the best. Here's a small bit off it:

The Broker stopped writing for a second. A space snowball had just hit one of the few space windows of her space station. The space children didn’t have space school today. The external cold of the vacuum of space was stingy, but it didn’t bother Liara. She briefly looked at her space calendar and realized what day it was.

Christmas.

“Bah Humbug!”

The clerk drone of stopped on the way to its desk and turned to her.

“Jolly good season, eh? Will you publish a death warrant for me wishing you a merry Christmas like last year or what?”

“Christmas! Every idiot who goes about with 'Merry Christmas' on his lips, should be boiled with his own space pudding, and buried with a stake of holly through his heart. Or hearts, if he’s a krogan.  He should!”

she snapped at it.

“You have some pretty serious mental issues, boss.” the drone said. “Anyway, you are paying me three dimes an hour and I need the Christmas evening off... Some of us have lives past collecting info on a game you know”

Oh, and btw, Chewin3 and Mesina2 are main characters in that surprise story. Mweheheh.

New battle gameplay... damnit it's so tempting to watch it but the party. I guess I'll do it the same way as I did last year during svga. I was at the party, everyone drunk, so I left to another room to watch me3 debut trailer.
I'm just hoping it's something with the Reapers or the Banshees.

Can someone tell me of we can explore planets like in ME, landing on a plannet and discover a settlement/mine? in ME2 this wasnt really the case. I know that we can explore more planets then ME2 but can we just go to the cities there or can we also leave the city and explore the enviorment of the planet?
