BIT OF SPOILERS AHEAD ABOUT THE GALAXY AT WAR MECHANICS:
"You increase your Galaxy at War score by playing
the game, completing missions, finding war assets, etc. However, that
isn't the only factor in your GAW score. In order to deliver the full
power of your forces to the final confrontation, you need to increase
your Readiness score, which is the percentage of your fleet that you
will bring to end game.
Your Readiness score can only be increased
by playing Multiplayer (which you can play by yourself), or the
facebook or I-OS game. Unless you do, you're GAW will be stuck at 50%
and you'll be hard pressed to get a good ending. The bad part is that
your Readiness decays over time, something like 1%/day, meaning you have
to keep playing those things to stay at full power..."
Is this true? I mean... You will have a lot more harder time to get the good ending if you DON'T play the multiplayer?
If so, that blows.
Or my english is o broken... Or that thing is saying that we only can get 100% on readiness only by playing GaW

Of course, they did say we could get the best ending through single player alone, and this seems to contradict that, which also sucks....

1. The developers say all platforms should get a simliar experience.
2. ME2 had 2 hotkeys that could be customized on the xbox 360 namely the 2 shoulder buttons. They didnt even let you change what power was hotkeyed to the y button. Yet people still managed to enjoy the game and get every possible achievement.
3. If they were to give pc players the ability to hotkey everything under the sun it would not be a similar experience to the other platforms.
Therefore they most likely won't (or at least should not) allow massive hotkeying on the pc version of ME3.
ME3 will be a great game for all platforms so don't worry about getting unfair advantages on the pc port. Rather concern yourself with what palythrough you want to do first.
Aw, come on. It has nothing to do with unfair advantages on the PC port ot hotkeying. It is about practicity and easiness of gameplay. Did you play ME1? On the PC? We can select weapon type with F1 to F4 keys. No need to pause the game, interrupt the flow of a hot combat, to do it. What I understood from the twit by @manveerheir is that weapons selection is back in ME3.
Now, Double clicking on a Menu Item or pressing the Enter key usually is the same as mousing over 3 different buttons spread across the screen which is not very practical. May be it is with a controller but there is no reason whatsoever to dumb down control capabilities on the PC only because other plataforms don't have it.
In ME1 we can zoom out of a planet with Right Mouse Button or ESC and we can zoom in with a left click + E, or double click or hoovering over the buttons on the screen and clicking on them. In ME 2 we can double click to enter the orbit, plot a jump, etc but the zoom out was removed. It is unpractical and annoying. It has nothing to do with the game.
The game is pretty good in whatever platform you choose to play it. But if the PC controls are dumbed down, one who doesn't play on the PC has no right to say anything about what PC gamers complain about. Similar experience has nothing to do with it. Similar experience is about the ability to beat the game under the same conditions, difficulty level, etc, in all platforms.
And it has nothing to do with costs because they spend a lot more recording codex entries that most people never even listen to.

I just wanted to ask if this is true or if you guys have heard anything like this. That said, this info MIGHT be bogus, but he did tell how Pavel events go and such. I left him a message asking his source. So I'll be checking that when he gets around sending me a message.

This is good stuff, but like the Twitter thread, it is being unstickied currently due to new ME3 official messaging coming soon. Please keep using teh thread. I know it will stay near the top as fans will continue to use it. Thanks.
This new official ME3 messagaing really has to something no one, will totally not see coming, if it means both this thread/the twitter thread gets unsticked.
Sucks but oh well, keep this amazing thread alive indeed people!

Kotaku user had it. But I'm having no luck at getting a PM from him atm. Maybe he will answer me later.
So you guys can take it as rumor instead. I just wanted to know if anyone else can confirm anything like this.

This info says the same. It says that the multiplayer makes getting it easier.
As you see: "You will be hard-pressed to get the 'good' ending."

Decaying precentage over time is absurd because this is not some competetive MMO to see who has the top Readiness level. Having a facebook account should not determine the fate of the galaxy...It seems like someone was just BSing for a few laughs and gave you some bad info. If what was said was actually true, then I would actually consider not playing the game. I dont want to have to go the extra mile and buy or help advertise this game through other media simply to get the ending I want.
Galactic Readiness is kinda neat gimmic but if you throw in crap like that you will ruin a game.

I'm not 100% convinced either. That's why I came here to ask about it, if anyone heard anything about this.
But yeah, basicaly he messaged me that he can't provide anything else as they are under "non-disclosure agreement". So take this as a rumor.
And the text basicaly said that you CAN get the good ending, but it will be harder than without MP and Facebook games.
