I hope there aren't too many repeat armor pieces from Mass Effect 2, if any. Other than that I like what I've seen so far, especially the lights customization. It's a small but welcome addition.Phaedon wrote...
Okay, here's an idea.
We discuss a specific feature of the game. That way, we keep the thread both on topic and bumped.
Here's a suggestion for a first subject:
Armor Customization - The info so far, your hopes and your fears.

I just watched the customization trailer and realized that our MP character only has 3 active powers (+ class and fitness). Thought there would be more.
You can't do a tactical pause to bring up the power wheel during multiplayer, so the powers must be few enough to be mappable to separate keys and usable in real-time

I knew that, but I thought that you can choose from more powers and bring 3 in the battle.
Guess that was my imgination

I like the looks of the new customization system, more details to personalize like the armor lights and stuff, and it seems the segments are now named after manufacturers - which is kind-of awesome in a nostalgic wayAnd looks like we get all the parts from ME2 and then some new ones, which bodes well for overall diversity.
I wonder if the lights section also changes the color of the visor.

With specific "kits" and such, are we expecting actual characters to be available in multiplayer? For example playing as Samara in the multiplayer, or Kasumi?

The new customization system looks way better then ever. Many people are happy that they can change the color of your armor lights, me also.

Can we turn off the lights?

Warp explosions is my favorite part of ME2's combat sytem. Singularity, shoot down the barrier/armor/shield of one target, and detonate it, watching all enemies in a huge radius (barring very tough shields) fly in all directions at the same time.

There is one thing I expect is still the same, but at the same time I'm a tiny bit afraid they've somehow removed it. Has any of you seen or heard of any Warp Explosions in ME3?
Of course there is Warplosions, there are also Singularimplosions and Throwplosions if you want

Is there a hard set (read: Dev acknowledged) party limit? I'm hoping all the LI's will be party members but it's looking less and less likely. At this point I'm seriously hoping for a roaming character slot for the LI. Unless it was Tali or Garrus (who are already confirmed) in which case you can recruit one LI option.

Badass wasn't an ME priority when it started. It wowed with more substance than a combat ninja. This guy is clearly a post ME2 type of idea.

^Did you ever seen a trailer - for movie or game - where they only show conversations?
Did you ever think Mass Effect was the type of series to only show action? Oh you did? You came along after ME1 for sure then, likely even during or after ME2 was already out.
Mass Effect 3 has shown just about nothing of the non-action sequences compared to the first game and similarly to the second. We all know ME gives you far more play time outside of action and combat. These videos and screenshots are leaving out vital parts of the experience's appeal.

Sorry, but you're wrong. I pre ordered all 3.
And look at the trailers for Mass Effect 1 and 2!
They show action as well, don't they?
And I think we get more then enough experience in the non-action sections when we play it.

The marketing in ME1 and 2 show action and a breadth of other features and experiences. There was a huge focus on locations, characters, conversations, and key phrases. ME3 is completely an action campaign with only hints that ME3 is anything more than an action shooter.

Capturing that whole charm of a world and people you get butterflies about, without exploiting the market's tendency to lean towards all the nonstop action that ME3 keeps making itself out to seem like? How are people going to know that sometimes ME feels as good as some of those classic cinema moments based on these action ME3 trailers? Where is the life?

Bioware said they want to make this game more accessable. And the main market is on
action gamers. They want to attract a larger crowd.
But as long I can take a walk in the presidium and chat all day with my crew I'm happy.
