Yo, Phae, I meant to say how awesome a job you're doin' in an earlier comment of mine, but Vega sidetracked me and I forgot to. DAMN YOU, VEGA! So I'm sayin' it now: YOU ARE AWESOME! YOUR POST IS AWESOME! Keep up the fantasmic work, man!

Oh, and um, I'm not sure if this info qualifies as something you can include in your post. I believe I've managed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that James Vega really and truly is the Big Ben sniper. Hopefully folks' current opinions of the lad will change once they realise he's been the BBS all along. Here's a link to my comment in Vega's thread for what it's worth. Image IPB

A new comic Mass Effect: Invasion is coming out in october and Cerberus Normandy SR-2 hits shelves in november.

Source: http://www.comicbook...rticle&id=33181

great find! it looks new to me.

Yeah. I actually noticed it on Mass Effect Wiki - there was a link to the article about the comic on the main page under the "Comics" section, but the link disappeared a few minutes after I clicked on it. The article itself is, however, at least at the time of this post still on the wiki - just search for "Invasion". Actual link to the Dark Horse page is below the wiki article in the section "References".

On the Dark Horse page immediately below the comic can also be seen the new Cerberus Normandy SR-2 model.

Didn't we already know that Vanguards can carry 3 weapons+HW? Soldiers=all, Infiltrators/Vanguards=3, all others two...

I hope "all" includes SMG's this time round, the Locust would suit my play style much more than the Widow

We still don't know if some weapons such as the Revenant, Claymore, Widow...will be class specific or if an Engineer can run around with the Revenant?

Listed under Dev promises:

twitter.com/#!/truffle/status/69916059712487425
"Could you comment wether the Advanced Weapon Training will have an impact in ME3? If so, how?"

"We are letting everyone use every weapon in me3 it's like full weapon training, an upgrade from advanced training"

So yeah it looks like Engineers will be able to run around with the Revenant.

Wow, the Soldier has taken quite the hit if that's the case.

So long as my Soldier will be able to carry the Revenant/Mattock, Widow, Geth Plasma Shotgun, Phalanx and my Heavy Weapon of Choice like in ME2 (modded my way of having both the Revenant and the Widow) on my insanity playthrough, I'll be happy.

Maybe you should include Brenon Holmes' quote about the probable lack of modding tools. There have been several threads of people asking for modding tools after Brenon Holmes said it was unlikely they would be released.

This thread is amazing! Even if half the rumors/dev promises don't turn out to be true, this game will still be awesomeely epic in my eyes. From what I just read on the first post it seems imported Sheps will now be able to customise their looks which Bioware said they wouldn't be able to before which is sweet. :D

Something that could be newsworthy:

twitter.com/#!/PWatamaniuk/status/90071579924504576

"Is the Omni-blade going to make shotguns useless for Vanguards?"

"No way, if anything it's the perfect compliment, depending on the enemy you are facing."

...don't vanguards get something other than the Omni-blade?

If true, the poor soldier has nothing left going for him anymore - no more class specific weapon restrictions, any class can carry any weapon, 75% of their talent tree consists of passives (ammo powers are a glorified passive ability) and, if the above is true, his melee specific ability is shared as well ...

Poor, poor soldiers. :(

No good deed goes unpunished. I guarantee that Bioware will makes something up for the Soldier to give it the edge it lost. Such as being able to choose ANY bonus power, like in ME1. So give the Soldier Tech Armor, and you have the Soldier in ME1 with Electronics.

PURE TANK.

Isnt the omni-blade soldiers exclusive heavy-melee attack? I remember that the other classes are supposed to have their own exclusive heavy-melee. Arent they?

The Soldier will always have the almighty Adrenalin Rush...the most powerful offensive power in the game and with the ability to upgrade selectively you could have something like a 150% damage bonus...

Well, if the soldiers are the only class to use the Revenant, Widow (these should be available despite having to choose between them in ME2), Geth shotgun, heavy pistol, and the SMG, I could see the soldiers being an OP class because of having all of these weapons at once.

However, they need the best weapons available to be able to compete with the other classes. Thats what soldiers are - weapon specialists.

No. What ever weapons that you were trained on the collector ship will transfer over from ME 2 Revenant will be the soldiers weapon only or the widow , claymore .Vanguard will have the claymore the infiltrator will have the widow .
there will be class only weapons in me 3 . The adapt , eng, and sent will have to use the basic weapons  matlock or the incisor or the scimitar weapons In ME 3   I think Image IPB

So if they allow us to change classes in the beginning of ME3 than in theory an Adept could have the Revenant and a Solider could be without a Revenant due to changing classes after importing into ME3 right?

But will the Revenant be an import reward or do new players have a chance to get it?

How I interpret it so far is that the Soldier's advantage is that he/she can carry all weapons at once, so though 'everyone can use every weapon' my Adept can still only take two with him. And I don't see anything said to suggest, for example, that those two weapons could be the Revenant and the Widow
