Ok, one thing nobody has mentioned is locked doors. I'm a great fan of the series, and havve only 1 major issue in ME2 that has never been addressed, opening locked doors. I'm disabled, and not as fast as most gamers, yet I've been able to play through ME1 on the pc without issue. However when I got ME2, I found it impossible to open the locked doors without the help of my caregiver's kid. I'd prefer not to have to ask for help to open a stupid door/secure wall safe. I get the need for a time element in that, but I just can't click on the symbols fast enough. If you guys at Bioware could just do something to impove that, this loyal user would REALLY appreciate it.

THIS IS A GREAT POINT!

I didn't have difficulties with the hack/bypass but on second playthrough I dreaded it. I still play but hate taking time to hack/bypass. I really hope BW adds something for second playthrough on ME3 to auto hack/bypass. Also, BW should have it modifiable to turn off hack/bypass for folks differently abled. When you think about it, the hack portion could be impossible for the color blind.

So wait, we're seeing new powers for the Sentinel and the Adept. What's the new power for the Vanguard? Surely the class was playable, right?

Aside from the heavy melee, the 'new moves' we have seen for both Sentinel and Adept have been ones that allow, for a very brief time time, use of powers with zero cooldown timers (or some slight varient on that)

Considering their similarity, I wouldn't be suprised if at least the Engineer had the same as a new power. Not very exciting

I find hack and bypass pretty easy on the Xbox for ME2. To the extent where I don't even bother to buy the upgrades that extend the time limit.

The one I had real problems with was ME1. Anyone using a Hi Def LCD TV suffers a slight delay before the picture appears on the screen. That means I only have a tiny fraction of a second to respond to a symbol flashing before it's too late to push the button. The number of times I've had to save the game, attempt the bypass and then reload after failing is ridiculous!

Regards

Julian

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, but I found it interesting how the other day Casey was saying how there will be decisons whereby squadmates will be opposed to things Shepard is/isn't doing and potential confrontations with possibility of us killing them.

So basically it's the 'Wrex decision' all over again, I actually hope it's going to be harder to 'Shep-Jitsu' them in these situations and it won't be similar to the 'Grunt situation' in which several outcomes all lead to the same with no real difference.

With the latter what I mean is, when you birth him and he pins Shepard to the wall, you initially get a 'renegade interupt' option... if you let that go you can then still do a weak (bottom right) renegade option... which is basically the same thing as the Renegade interupt in which Shepard shoots Grunt. IMHO they should've had it so that with one of them, you actually do 'kill him' because the whole point at that time is getting him in line with the program and if he ain't then he should be put down like the mad dog he is (feel compelled to add 'again' to the end of that sentence for some reason :P;)).

Also hoping we get to 'airlock' someone this time. Both with Grunt AND Legion there was reference to using it to 'space' them (both whilst in conversation with Jacob, though it was he who suggested the latter and Shepard who suggested it for the former).

Will the dialogue be like dragon age and mass effect or dragon age 2 and mass effect 2? I prefer me and origins.

Question... have they mentioned if all our powers will have one cooldown like in mass effect 2 or will they have individual cooldowns?

Actually, even though they share the basics or the wheel, there are one or two dynamics that change.

Remember that potential R/P points vs actual R/P points in ME2? That's one of the differences. It goes to the point in which you couldn't chose a Renegade or Paragon option with even about a 70% of said gauges filled, just because it wasn't based on the points you actually had, but in the points you let slip by...

Sometimes it was pretty annoying =/

You are writing about a "biotic punch" for the adept. The linked article still says it is psionic blades. Or do I have the wrong link?

Quote from the link (ign) provided here:
"Other classes have their own heavy melee attacks - Adepts have blades of psionic energy that they use to cut down their enemies in close, for example."

Likewise. I am disabled too (brain disease and partial paralysis of both hands) and I can't count how many times I had problems with the locks in ME 2 as well. I get that disabled gamers aren't the biggest targed audience out there (which is why the seizure warnings are always on the INSIDE packaging, so once I've bought the game I can't take it back, my personal pet peeve), but still, I play ME and DA because I can't do anything else since I'm stuck in my house all the darn time, and I'd like to not feel like an idiot once in a while.

Well, I liked the minigames in ME2 over ME1, mainly because they give the impression to be more connected with the task at hand (e.g. you are shortcrcuiting and chip, etc.) but I see your problem.
I am sure though, there are cheats/trainers out there that you can use to get rid of this time limit very specifically without unbalancing the game otherwise (in this case, I wouldn't even consider it cheating at all and with an SP game who cares anyway). Just google it and I am sure w=you'll find something.
I think BW should think about putting some option in the game to address this.

Yeah, I had a lot more problems with me than me2 - just had to use medi-gel all the darn time.  I could see how the mini-games could make me2 unplayable for someone with a disability.  Hope they do something to work around this if needed by somebody.

Also another nice confirmation of meaningful choices and consequences in another IGN article which actually refers to Destructoid's article and interview. Lol.^_^ Hopefully, not too old news.

They're very tight lipped about the Vanguard.

I hope it means they're saving the best for last and not that they feel like we'll be disappointed with the class now.

What do you guys think of the quality of the demo showed off at SDCC? I mean I know it plays well but I mean more in terms of framerate/screen tearing, you know overall presentation. For instance I noticed quite a lot of flickering when moving Shepard around. It still needs a lot of polishing and although I know we're still a bit far from release, is this normal at this point in time? I felt like it should have been much more polished...

One question... if Cerberus is all about the advancement of the human race, why are they trying to kill Shepard? Or are BioWare going to explain at the start of ME3? It just seems a bit irregular that's all. Since The Illusive Man is head of Cerberus... to quote shepard "Someone like that wouldn't anything without a damn good reason!" *Chuckles*

In ME3 will Shepard actually say what you select on the dialogue wheel or will he continue to say something completely different to what you intended?
