Not sure if this was added but:

http://www.giantbomb...2011/35-510677/

The CE Robot dog is possible to interact with aboard the Normandy, like
having it follow you around, play fetch and it apparently has a story to
it. No details on whether it's combat able or not though.

Character creator will get a lot more hair styles and facial features in
ME3. So expect the hairstyles from the femShep competition to make it
into the CC.

They are considering an Uber achievement for all three games. What that
is exactly is they don't know, but they want to reward their long term
fans.

All squad mates will get their story and closure for ME3 even if they might not be a permanent squad member.

We'll see more of the Yahg (The former Shadow Broker)

Not loyalty of people, but loyalty of races. Less focus on building
loyalty with squad members and more on the various races. So expect
previous loyalty and decisions to play a part in this.

XP system goes back to ME1. No details but they won't do the mission summary XP from ME2.

The fate of the squad mates will not always be up to the player and decisions that feels right can prove to be harmful.

The banter will be increased significantly since the squad member group is smaller this time.

The ending of ME3 will give closure to the trilogy so don't expect answers on post ME3 DLC until the game is out.

There will not be an SDK after Mass Effect 3.

Joker EDI romance is being "looked at".

Aside from the Krogan princess, we will apparently not see female counterparts of turians,

salarians and so on in ME3 either.

Mods for ME2 has to be remade for ME3.

Thane is still alive in ME3. (if he survived Collector Base)

Kelly Chambers will return.

Romance between Joker and Shepard is a case of "you have to play it to see it"

If Hammerhead or Mako returns it's closer to critical path missions. Don't expect

exploration using these vehicles.

The Normandy will be upgraded by the Systems Alliance, so resource gathering for the ship is not likely this time.

The geth quarian conflict will be concluded.

Existing music from ME1 and ME2 will make its way into ME3.

Side quests will pretty much always be in line with the critical path story.

classes will get new powers with up to six different ways to customize each power

Squad mates appearances and armor will be possible to customize again.

Seems Cerberus will be a full blown antagonist and not possible to align with in ME3.

They have DECIDED about whether you'll get to see Tali's face or not.

There may be time sensitive story elements though it will be more focused ones like the Normandy crew.

ME3 will make you cry!

There will be a larger variety of environments compared to ME2.

Heavy melee will pretty much always kill a target, but defensive factors
like armor, barriers and shields will affect the outcome. Also don't
try to melee an Atlas mech.

There will be mini games though no announcements.

We may see Quarians without masks. Whether that would include Tali or not was left unsaid.

The choices you make in the trial at the beginning of ME3 will set the tone for the future in the game

James Vega's voice actor will be announced really soon and is apparently a closely guarded secret, since he's really awesome.

Indoctrination seem to play a role in ME3, possibly including party members.

Kal'Reegar will return in ME3.

They are discussing possibilities of missions that ties back to your background choice for Shepard.

You have a lot more romance options in ME3. Possibly not limited to party members.

You will be able to change class if you import your ME2 Shepard to ME3.
Though you will have to start from Lvl 1 while kept class will get
Import+ perks.

Legion will return with a larger role in ME3.

There may be a 'special' import for saves where Shepard died. The
interest is clearly too big for them to simply ignore such a treat.

Miranda will be back and has unfinished business with Shepard.

Shepard's SPECTRE status will play part in ME3 and change things if you had the status reinstated in ME2.

Conrad Verner's back.

Normandy will be the SR-2 with an Alliance paint and some redesigned interiors. Joker will apparently be happy with it.

How many team mates you speak to at the same time aboard the Normandy depends on the context of the missions.

You'll have debriefings after each mission that are deeper than ME2, but
you are still likely to only talk to the squad mates one on one outside
of that.

Oh wow, thanks k177sh0t for sharing that run-down! I'm probably more excited about the return of debriefings than I ought to be. And I refuse to believe the news about no female turians or salarians, there's still time to add them in!

I just got back from gamescom yesterday. I was able to attend the EA community lounge showing of mass effect 3 hosted by Mike Gamble, and the localization manager (sorry dude i cant remember your name) David silverman and Chris Priestly were also there.
There were several things people might be interested to know from that behind closed doors presentation.
I dont know if they are going to post a video of that behind closed doors showing but there was a camera present. the host who was with that camera man was speaking german though and he had no EA Wildcard or Press card hanging from his Keycord.

Note Major Story Spoilers here. then again your in this thread.

We were shown the Surkesh show floor demo and the Earth press only demo.
We were also shown the ending of the earth demo, something that i have not found online.

Here are some of the things they revealed through that demo and the Q&A they had between and after the demo's

The child you see in the Vents during the Earth demo, Dies when his evac shuttle is shot down by a smaller reaper. and shepard gets a determined expression on his face as he watches the shuttle go down from the still open normandy cargo deck.

Shepard has his rank stripped at the start of ME3 because anderson re-instates him when he orders shepard to go and get help from the other races. (he throws his dog tags back to shepard)

Female Salarians and turians will make an apearance but they wouldnt comment about who they are or what their roles will be.

the problem with ME2 where shepard pulls out a gun during cutscenes that their class cant carry wont be comming back in ME3.

There is a Major choice in the game that can screw the end of the game over, and you will be asked 3 times if that is really what you want to do. just to make sure you pick what you want. (no info about what the choice is though)

There are multiple Choices in the game that will impact the ending of the game in a major way.

apearantly the skills you chose in ME1 and ME2 for yourself and your Squad will play a role ME3 (they were vague about this though)

there is a possibility to lose the war depending on the choices you make.

Making just paragon decisions will not garuantee a positive outcome for every situation and vice versa

there are going to be roughly 35.000 lines of dialoge on ME3 that is comparible to ME2.

Characters from the books will play a role in ME3 there is one who has a major role and we know its male...
(Mike gamble mis spoke when he was trying to tease about him :) )

there were some other questions asked but they are already awnsered in other Q&A's this past week that were already posted.

Also this is more of an assumption based on Comments by David silverman who was standing behind me during the presentation.
But apearantly Bioware has already planned out their DLC. When Mike Gamble was asked about DLC David was giving awnsers in a low voice to himself. (you know like you do when your not suposed to speak but you do know the awnser)

also when the normandy departs earth you get to hear new ME3 music.... its GOOOOOOOD :)

Great post k177sh0t.

I was hoping they went all out and didn't hold back on any ideas they've had over the trilogy and its looking like they've pulled all the stops and then some!

Edit: Thanks Havoc - some other tasty tid bits there!

March seems to be getting further away. Stupid time perceptions.

And another one, thanks Havoc!

I'm seeing conflicting information regarding female aliens here, not sure which is the truth yet.

So jealous that you got to hear the new music, can't wait to hear it!

And it has to be. The Rachni choice is obvious example.

Hmm - I still think the actual ME1 choice of saving them will lean towards being beneficial in ME3 - BUT I wouldn't be surprised to see a Paragon choice involving them in ME3 come back to bite you in the arse.

Regardless either way, this sounds fantastic and can't wait for inevitable jaw pick up moments.

Do you want to save the universe, Shepard?
Shepard: No.
But thou must.
Shepard: No.

I may name my firstborn child after you, that's awesome news. And sure enough, it clearly says they will be there.

You know people are still going to complain when they make the wrong choice 3 times though..

"Shepard are you sure you want to romance Kaidan?"
"Yes."
"Really sure?"
"Yes."
"You're a dude, still sure?"
"Yes."
BEGIN ROMANCE SEQUENCE!

Player: That's not what I wanted!

i also got the chance to play the show floor demo. and i figured i'd give you some info about the Atlas fight at the end. personally i'm a little disapointed. i managed to finish the demo and start a second playthough with a different class (didnt have time to finish that though)
The Cerberus Atlas mech can step over cover. wich is a little annoying if you dont see it comming.
apart from that its behaviour is exactly the same as that of a Ymir mech. oh and you all know it can grab you and your squadmates. i tried to trigger that suposed ground stomp but it wouldnt sadly.

P.S. a thing i forgot to add to the Q&A list

Zaeed and kasumi will both be in the game as full dialoge characters. no more walking past them to get responses etc. they wouldnt comment on them being squadmates though.

Very interesting new info, thanks Havoc and k177s0t.

Does seem odd that we are getting told we both will and won't see female versions of the different races. Hopefully it's the former, at least in the case of the Turians or something.

Glad to hear that it's possible to lose too! I remember speculating that there might be a bad ending of that sort, but it's good to see it confirmed. Would be awesome if they had an ending which jumps to the time of the next cycle and you see an alien finding some long lost relic from the days of Shepard.

Kal Reeger! Huzzah!

Not sure about the 'significantly smaller squad', although it's nothing we haven't heard before it does make me wonder just how small our main squad will be. Will most former companions only be returning on a temporary basis? The tidbit about Miranda returning with unfinished buisness with Shep definitely suggests she won't be around early on at least, still holding out hope that she makes it as a full time squaddie.

Legion having a larger role could suggest he's a squadmate, however perhaps that is just our perception of 'larger role' and it could just mean he is pivotal to the plot. I mean, even if he was boxed up and shipped off they could write him back in I would have thought.

Plenty of little things here and there which look like they will have an impact too, promising that importing will have a sizable impact. Spectre status, skills etc. Would be kind of awesome if they get that special import for a dead Shepard working! I would guess it's just a cutscene or something?

Well that's a lot information I really didn't need to know. :P

I think it's safe to say I am both excited and absolutely terrified of Mass Effect 3. I think more terrified of it to be honest after hearing indoctrination may play a role with squadmates and the fact I may lose squadmates and have no choice in the matter.

I think if Garrus or Tali died I may have to step away from my computer and mourn. :(

But I guess that's what they're going for. :P

EDIT: Actually is it just me or is anyone else getting the feeling that we're totally screwed? :P

That's what Dragon Age 2 was like when I frst started hearing stuff like this and it turned out pretty easy for me to keep everyone loyal and alive so I suspect this will be the same.

But I share your pain dude. :P

I wasn't here for the lead up to ME2 but I was half-expecting companions to die left and right there as well, what with the whole SUICIDE MISSION and all. Bioware loves to mess with our feelings and even when they break our hearts, they do it with class and style.

I completely agree. I was fully expecting to see squadmates die left right and centre during the suicide mission and Bioware will definitely do it with style like they always do. My heart still breaks when I think about the time I lost Garrus and Tali. :P

According to this article it takes about 40 hours to beat ME3.
