Ah. Makes sense. Anderson or Udina could strip Shepard of his Spectre title. Why the hell didn't I think of this before?

Female Salarians and turians will make an apearance but they wouldnt comment about who they are or what their roles will be.

I KNEW it! I just knew that BW just messed up the answer to this question!
:happy::happy::happy:

the problem with ME2 where shepard pulls out a gun during cutscenes that their class cant carry wont be comming back in ME3.

Hopefully they figured out that they only need three types of blocking for any given scene, and not six. A pistol and SMG stance. An AR and SR stance. A shotgun and heavy weapons stance.

Making just paragon decisions will not garuantee a positive outcome for every situation and vice versa

Excellent. I'm glad that being pure paragon isn't going to give us a flawless victory.

Characters from the books will play a role in ME3 there is one who has a major role and we know its male...
(Mike gamble mis spoke when he was trying to tease about him :) )

Kai Leng. They already confirmed this character...

But apearantly Bioware has already planned out their DLC. When Mike Gamble was asked about DLC David was giving awnsers in a low voice to himself. (you know like you do when your not suposed to speak but you do know the awnser)

EXCELLENT! Hopefully this means that they will record lines of dialogue for the squadmates for the DLCs before hand, so that they won't be so quiet during important missions!

as far as i know there are no video's of the end of this demo it was live gameplay given in a behind closed doors conference room in the Koelnmesse conference centre
the entire presentation was about an hour long.
the music is part of the ending. most video's ive see cut of about 2 minutes before the actual demo ends.

they might post it later though there was a camera in the room.
but they told us no filming or photography

He re-instates him back as Commander, not SPECTRE (as far as I know... doubt it´s both, since the decision to take or decline the title in ME2 should have some consequences in ME3).

That first ME3 interview is kind of dumb, looks like the person who wrote about it is more or less a newbie. That Nellie person was misspelled or is a book character I´ve never heard of before (I only read the book summaries on wiki).

Basically all pistols can be equipped with laser sights (mod) and they made new guns for each weapon type!

can you please clarify to people one thing.... I read a source which I dont necessarily trust that if you died AT ALL in ME2.... Meaning during some random Mission "Critical Mission Failure" poped up on the screen..... that means you can not import your game into ME3

The way I understood other sources and the source you cited in this thread is that if you die Endgame at the collector base during the Suicide Mission you cant import into ME3

The reason I am even slightly inclined to believe the first source is because I never even realized Shep can die in the Endgame..... you have to understand..... I got the achievement "No One Left Behind" on my first playthrough of the game.... and I am not a fail gamer..... so the fact that Shep can DIe at the end never occured to me

So do I realy have to play the entire game over on Casual difficulty setting? Just so I can import.... or can I import into ME3 because endgame was successfull? I like playing the game on Insanity difficulty and true I had a lot of "Critical Mission Failure" moments..... but I never died during the endgame mission.

BTW did anyone else find endgame mission to be easier than all other missions in ME2?

^No. You only are excluded from importing your shep if he/she died at the end of the Suicide Mission in the cutscene with Joker.

no, what you cannot do is import a Shepard who died canonically (which can only happen if your entire squad dies in the Suicide Mission)

however, if you got a few Critical Mission Failures, you can import.....that would be kinda mean for them to do that lmao

I saw this posted in the attached link from another thread

■You will be able to change class if you import your ME2 Shepard to ME3. Though you will have to start from Lvl 1 while kept class will get Import+ perks.

And that is pretty important, and a change from ME1->ME2, did not see that updated in the main recap.

To clarify, I mearly meant that either Udina or Anderson could strip Shepard of both titles -- thus answering the question as to why Shepard is tied to Earth.

Udina shouldn´t be able to strip him of his SA title (he´s either a Anderson´s assistant or Councilor, and that doesn´t give him the right to meddle with the System´s Alliance military), and Anderson would be able to do it only in a war situation or if it´s something urgent! (as far as I understand military procedures...- so I still could be wring :D)

I'm glad you guys liked my summary from Gamescom. It was great fun following every piece of the Bioware TV segments. I was intending to post it here as well but had too many things on my plate and it made its' way here anyway. =]

Also really happy to get such warm words from Silverman. He's certainly done an awesome job bringing Gamescom to us who couldn't be there. :)

That still strips Shepard of his Spectre title -- effectively (and realistically) grounding him, especially if the Alliance arrests him.

Well that actually makes sense to me choices have consequences even the "right" choice.

Have you used the M5-Phalanx? You'll regret using it. Well, In my case.

How do players start in ME3? By level, I mean. Do we start from scratch with certain bonuses a-la ME2, or start the level we end with in ME2?

EDIT:

I found the answer to a part of my question, how about kept classes though? If I finished ME2 with a level 30 vanguard, will I start ME3 with a level 30 vanguard too?

So they want to increase party banter but at the same time ME3 doesn't have more lines than ME2 ?

...hmm does that mean that every character that is not a possible squadmember will be short-changed for his/her dialogue ? E.g. Kasumi's story (who most probably won't be in your squad) will be tied up with two or three short conversations ?

I kind of hoped BW would go above and beyond for their last entry in the trilogy. Bummer.

There are less permanent squadmates, so I reckon you could have the same lines and have some bumped up party banter

Ah, but you see, there are less characters that will be permanent, thus they will have less same-scenario speech and it will be more diverse anyway.

Think about it, if 5 (permanent) squadmates are speaking the same amounts of lines than 12 characters, each one will be saying a lot more lines.

Oh, and in2seconds, if they are adding LAMs as mods, then that will mean that you should be able to use the phlanx WITHOUT one on. I like them myself, and will use them greatly.

Why are ppl worried about if Shep has been grounded or stripped of his/her ranking , Shep is a get it done at all cost soldier, the same thing happen in ME1 , Udina and the council locked Shep and crew out of the Normandy, with Andersons help Shep was able to fly off and stop Saren . . . !!!
So no need to worry . . .
