Kai Leng, maybe? If TIM is willing to work with aliens for the good of the galaxy like in ME2, then it's not unreasonable to think that Leng may have created a splinter group dedicated to hunting Shepard. He might be used by the Reapers as extra power.

Coming out of Gamescom, BioWare have confirmed several key details about the upcoming threquel, Mass Effect 3[/i]. Addressing several rumours and fan questions, BioWare confirmed several things. The Cerberus Network will only be a villian in the game and not a faction that you will be able to side with, regardless of how you played through Mass Effect 2. Also, the decisions the player makes in the early stretch of the game will have a major impact on the tone of the remainder of the campaign. The definition of "tone" is somewhat vague at this point. For example, if the player made a unpopular decision, would all the NPC's have a negative attitude towards Shepard for the majority of the game? This will most likely become clearer closer to the release date. There will be several mini-games in ME3[/i], however, the planet mining game from ME2[/i] will most likely not be returning (you can all breath a sign of relief now). We don't know what the mini-games themselves are, but we can probably assume, like the tone subject, will be addressed closer to the release. One additional rumor that was addressed was the possibility of a Mass Effect[/i] SDK. The rumour had been floating for a while and now, it has been confirmed that after the release of ME3[/i], there will be NO SDK for the franchise. So, that's it for now. What do you make of these new details? Does this increase your excitement? Is there something making you nervous? Let us know in the comments.Source: Giant Bomb

Q&A Summary[/b]Special guest, Casey Hudson, was unable to join David Silverman on the stream so it became a Q&A similar to yesterday. Oh well.[/i
]Joker EDI romance is being "looked at
".Aside from the Krogan princess, we will apparently not see female counterparts of turians, salarians and so on in ME3 either.
Mods for ME2 has to be remade for ME3.
Thane is still alive in ME3. (if he survived Collector Base)
Kelly Chambers will return.Romance between
Joker and Shepard is a case of "you have to play it to see it
"If Hammerhead or Mako returns it's closer to critical path missions. Don't expect exploration using these vehicles.
The Normandy will be upgraded by the Systems Alliance, so resource gathering for the ship is not likely this time.
The geth quarian conflict will be concluded.
Existing music from ME1 and ME2 will make its way into ME3.
Side quests will pretty much always be in line with the critical path story.
classes will get new powers with up to six different ways to customize each power
Squad mates appearances and armor will be possible to customize again.
Seems Cerberus will be a full blown antagonist and not possible to align with in ME3.
They have DECIDED about whether you'll get to see Tali's face or not.
[/list]Day 4 - ME3 Q&A's and Patryk OlejniczakBioware Q&A Summary[/b]
There may be time sensitive story elements though it will be more focused ones like the Normandy crew.
ME3 will make you cry!
There will be a larger variety of environments compared to ME2.Heavy melee will pretty much always kill a target, but defensive factors like armor, barriers and shields will affect the outcome.
Also don't try to melee an Atlas mech.

I just hope that saving Earth isn't the finale of the game. It would be pretty cliche if the entire game revolved around building a fleet to take back Earth from a few thousand Reapers.
I want saving Earth to be a huge story point, but also be one that, once completed, still leaves you with a galaxy full of Reapers that need to be defeated.

How many science fiction stories actually have the quads to do that?

And The destruction is different based on decisions.
Worst case scenario: Huge F-ing explosion like Alderaan, with Shepard and co on it.
Second worse: same, with shep and co forced to watch from afar.
all the way to the best one: everythin is a lifeless barren wasteland, just Kyoto survives intact. If America spared the number 1 candidate for the second atomic bomb, the Reapers will leave it too.

As for the destruction of Earth I would not like that at all. I like my escapism to have happy endings. I've got real life if I want to experience the reality of failure.

The Reapers winning is fine as long as you don't have to wind too far back in your saved games to fix it. If you lose and have to replay half the game before you get a decent ending then it would suck big time.

I like that yet at the same time kinda makes me worried. Not about the quality of the game, but how royally I screw up. Sure, Mass Effect 2 had an ending where you could die, but even then you still stopped the Collectors.rolson00 wrote...

I also wonder how clear it would be that the path you go down dooms everyone. I want it to be subtle, yet at the same time prominent enough for me to think about my decisions.

What I don't understand is if TIM has been indoctronated by the Reapers, why would he bring back Shep after the Reapers henchmen the collectors already killed Shep, I mean was the whole thing a test to show his masters ,the reapers that humanity is best and unique ,that Shep is one of its best and to prove it all the events in ME2 was a test , I dont get it. . . ?
Well, TIM wanted to stop the reapers, he never said he wanted to destroy the reapers mind you, but to stop them from obliterating humanity, which is why he recovered Shep. He knows that fighting the reapers is pretty much suicide, and he was exploring alternatives that can ultimatley save humanity. So I think when ME3 comes around, he comes to the conlcusion that he doesn't want to destroy humanity by fighting the reapers, but instead join the reapers as a means of evolutionary ascension, because he knows that it is impossible to stop them and there is no other way.... at least from his point of view.

Already done with Saren. Would be boring. How about TIM finding a way to control the Reapers. He wants them for his own private army to push humanity to the top. And blowing said control room up wll be the key to victory for Shep

I'm not worried that the reapers can win. You have to go out of your way to kill enough squad mates to have Shepard die in ME2. I imagine it will be much the same with ME3.
You're probably right, but that still feels really dumb in my opinion. Saving Earth -- or at least beating the game with minimal loses -- should be a challenge that isn't easily attainable. It sounds like killing Earth is going to be just Shepard making all of the wrong decisions.

I think your theory maybe headed in the right direction , plus I think TIM has found the secret to indoctrination and using it to control his troops ,and for some odd reason I think maybe his troops are inferior clones of Shep. . . Just a thought
