Seriously Lucas! Replacing the police mens guns with Walkie Talkies in ET?

Er, that was Steven Spielberg that had ET edited, not Lucas.

Oy, kids today.

Lucas has made much stranger edits to his films:

God, somebody please punch that man in the head. Please.

I meant Lucas and Spielberg because they work so closely on films.

Ah yes...for children....which is why he put in a scene into his latest "creation" the process of someone being burnt alive after he had just killed his pregnant wife...yeah. Sure. Children.

You're talking about a movie where Anakin can't say the word "children" and "killed" in the same sentence, because Lucas thought it would make the 9 and 10 year olds in the audience run out of the theatre sceaming, whilst their mommies would write long and conservative messages to him.

You're talking about a movie where Anakin's most memorable dialogue with Padme was:

"You're so...beautiful!"

"That's only because I'm so in love."

"No, it's because I'm so in love with you."

A movie where one of the most gruesome and potentially powerful scenes in the series history (Vader's defeat + rebirth) was utterly ruined -- beyond redemption and everything -- because of this:

-- a scene so comical and poorly written, that I was half expecting the Geico gekko to jump out and say "don't worry Vada! Geico will save you 15% or more on car insurance!" It's almost as if Lucas was asleep at the camera the whole time.

You're talking about movies so awful that Rick McCallum's face during the very first Phantom Menace review viewing basically was of utter bordom and disgust -- during which Lucas himself basically said that he ****ed up big time but didn't have the time to edit the film.

Lucas wrote I, and II (and possibly III) in a single draft. I think he thought he was going to wow the world with one of the finest movies ever made -- created in one go. He failed utterly. So badly, that all most people could do was ignore the prequels -- even III which was almost good.

So yes, his universe is meant for children. I don't know where he gets that rationale -- maybe he was abused as a child, maybe he is just a social recluse. But there it is.

Mkay, nothing new. I will however search Brenon's latest posts for a couple of new facts.

Features:
  •  The Predator is improved and returning
  • There are some new heavy weapons though the pool has been slimmed down a bit.
  • The Atlas' health does not regenerate when you use it.
  • When there is no enemy in sight, squadmates aim their weapons towards the ground.
  • The Marauder is an enemy creature.
  • Grunt is back and has his good moments.
  • PC version supports double click and scrolling.
  • Heavy weapons don't support weapon modding.
  • Melee attack statistical progression has to do with ability level-up, not weapon customization.
Promises:
  • There aren't necessarily "obviously" better guns.
  • A lot of the custom mod scopes have custom UI elements associated with them.
These are the new stuff.

^Don't forget about poor Urdnot Wreav. He was present in the sentinel demo a few weeks ago, so I think he warrants a mention on your story blog.

The story blog will be among the things to be fixed in the next version of the thread. I am trying to find the time to do it, but I have only nailed down the concept so far.

I'm excited about more conversations with Reapers. Sovereign and Harbinger have some great dialog. I wonder who'll be next in telling us how futile our fight against the Reapers are?

This 178 points thing still makes no sense to me if we only have 9 powers and each power costs 21 points to max out.

The only way it MIGHT make sense is if Level 60 was impossible to get on the first playthrough, but since the majority of people will probably be importing a level 30 Shepard to begin with, I just can't see this being the case.

Do we know for sure there are 2 for each squadmate?  My count came out to 37 total Shepard powers too.  20 bonus powers sounds like a sweet deal to me!

Well for Garrus and Liara, so I guess it's the same for the other squadmates :

^ But we don't know for sure that Infiltrator/Vanguard don't have Poximity Mine/Lift Orb. I mean, my guess (and my hope) is there will be new powers for them too, but it isn't confirmed.

At this point "Lift Orb" sounds like a very unnecessary name change if it isn't different from Lift and Pull.

You guys haven't heard the news.

I honestly was a defender of George Lucas when the prequels came out. I honestly thought that generally the PT worked well. However there were some very critical flaws in Narrative focus, Dialogue and Actor/Director relations. 6 years after ROTS, Those issues I now see as huge fundamental flaws in the PT. What was the point of having Jar Jar? (no I'm not one of the Jar Jar Haters) Or General Greivous? Why not add more depth to Count Dooku instead of introducing Grievous. It was things like that made the Prequels into a huge narrative mess.

It's actually a biotic grenade, and that's just the power's base name.  There's a limited amount of them you can use, just like Frag Grenade.

New base powers ? Maybe.
So maybe more squadmates ... (temporary or permanent of course)

Goes up to a level 60, and you earn 178 talent points. Skills supposedly use 21 points to max out in ME3, so you can max out 8 powers and have ten points for one more.

In the demos, the Soldier had six powers, one passive, and Fortitude. Fortitude has become Fitness which I presume all classes share Fitness since it increases hit points, shields, and something else.

So with all that being said, you can max out all powers and have a bonus power fairly leveled up. Which isn't bad. Your not overpowered by having all powers at maximum strength, but enough points to experience most possible upgrades for powers. I think that's pretty well done.
