Properly Spec'd Vanguard will be able to charge a lot.

A properly spec'ed Vanguard will be able to charge A LOT. And with his new power that synergizes with charge, the class is awesome.

Finally, some vanguard info trickles in. :)

Seriously Lucas! Replacing the police mens guns with Walkie Talkies in ET?

Er, that was Steven Spielberg that had ET edited, not Lucas.

Oy, kids today.

Lucas has made much stranger edits to his films:

God, somebody please punch that man in the head. Please.

I meant Lucas and Spielberg because they work so closely on films.

You guys haven't heard the news.

I honestly was a defender of George Lucas when the prequels came out. I honestly thought that generally the PT worked well. However there were some very critical flaws in Narrative focus, Dialogue and Actor/Director relations. 6 years after ROTS, Those issues I now see as huge fundamental flaws in the PT. What was the point of having Jar Jar? (no I'm not one of the Jar Jar Haters) Or General Greivous? Why not add more depth to Count Dooku instead of introducing Grievous. It was things like that made the Prequels into a huge narrative mess.

What the hell is wrong with that man? Somebody should just walk up to him in public, and scream "STOP RAPING OUR CHILDHOODS!"

Seriously, what the hell has Lucas done since the last SW movie -- hell, since ROTJ? Just remade his trilogies over and over again with different special effects??? I can't get over how unquestionably dumb he is.

it's heavily implied that both DLC characters are getting ME2 Wrex treatment...i.e. cameo only

While I share your pain, George Lucas paid in full in 1977.  He owes us nothing.  Yes, I do feel sorry for those who are just now seeing the original trilogy. However, for the millions who saw the original Star Wars in the theater, nothing will ever diminish that experience.  To bring this back on topic, if only slightly, while it is a 100% certainty Shepard will be a guy in the upcoming Mass Effect movie, that will not diminish the experience of my canonical playthrough where Shepard is a woman.  If BioWare were to release a ME trilogy pack and removed the option to play as femShep, I wouldn’t care.  I still have the old games, just as I have the original Star Wars films.  So, yeah, George has gone nuts again fiddling w/ his old movies.  What else is new?

Damn, I can't remember where, but I did read that you could interact w/ them this time.  Maybe that's something.  I'm sure you're right, but Kasumi was very popular, so it will be interesting how they deal with it.

Even though I am not in the "George Lucas destroyed my childhood"  Since I think it is a selfish, arrogant way to view the Star Wars films. I do however think that as a Filmmaker George is damaging his legacy and the integrity of his films with all of these pointless revisions. I'm just angry that he flatly refuses to release the OT as they originally were (perhaps with some minor effects enhancements) in high quality sound and picture.
Again the Prequels were not as bad as many people clain  but they are not as good as they could have been because of his shortcomings as a filmmaker.

To that note they should only appear on imported files, assuming you got the dlc and they survived the Suicide Mission.

Mass Effect 2 was released on January 26, 2010. Mass Effect 3 will be released on March 6, 2012. Yep…That’s 2 years and just under 2 month gap.

IIRC, it's only a month or two time gap.

6-12 months mentioned by Jesse Houston and other devs

They haven't locked down the exact number of months but its between that range.

Oh okay so not nearly as long as ME2. Interesting. Thanks guys. Figured it wasn't worth making a thread to get that question answered.

1 year since the beginning of ME2, or 6 months after Arrival.

By the way, what will Shepard's age be? He/she was like 29 in ME1, but since he/she was killed and than reconstructed exactly as he/she was, wouldn't Shepard be just about 30 technically in ME3 instead of 32?

I consider his death to not change his age. He's 32. Explains why he looks so tired.

Err, there are many 32 year olds who don't look like a worn out old scarred and pitted battle axe like Shepard does. Shepard looks like that because in addition to surviving numerous firefights, he got burned up and dismembered after falling through a planet's atmosphere from space. Sheploo in ME3 looks much older than his actual age.

While we're discussing the age of Sheploo, here are the ages for other characters during ME3.

Kaidan Alenko (35), Ashley Williams (28), Liara T'Soni (109), David Anderson (49), Miranda Lawson (36), Jacob Taylor (29), Kasumi Goto (26), Thane Krios (40), Tali (25), Joker (31), and Jack (25).

As for service in the Alliance.

Shepard leading with 14 years, if he was still considered part of the Alliance after the start of ME2. Kaidan with 13 and Ashley with 12.

The intel to gather this came from the ME timeline. Did this months ago, sorry if the years are inaccurate.

EDIT: Made a mistake, I used the Arrival year to calculate this. . . not the year in which ME3 occurs.

I have a request to make for the new project concerning this thread:

Could someone load up Texmod and ME2 and take a high quality pic of the datapad screen that appears when you interact with datapads, upload it, and post it here?

Thanks.

Why would we need Texmod? If there's an HD mod we need to use, could you link it here please?

How the hell is Miranda so old, and Jacob so young?

Also, I'd be careful of any intel on character age. I read somewhere that Zaeed is 40. But we all know that he's at least 45.

Humans live up to 150 years on average in the ME universe. Medical advancements. Deducing age from a character's appearance may be a fool's errand when you think about it.

Correct, and Miranda apparently will live half as long again as the average human. You think she'll still be hot at 225 years old?
