The Citadel races have classified the known variants of Reapers into four types:

CAPITAL SHIPS are Sovereign-class Reapers two kilometers in length. They typically target the dreadnoughts, defense installations, and industrial cities of organic civilizations. Experts believe the Reapers harvest a single species of organics during each cycle of extinction to create these massive ships.

DESTROYERS are the 160-meter-long workhorses of the Reaper fleet. They engage cruisers and other, smaller ships, as well as communications posts and enemy command centers. Research suggests destroyers are created from those species that are not harvested to make capital ships.

TROOP TRANSPORTS carry husks to unconquered planets and bring victims of the harvest to Reaper processing centers. They vary in length from 200 meters to one kilometer, but, unlike capital ships and destroyers, do not appear to be self-aware. Instead, other Reapers operate troop transports remotely.

PROCESSORS, also called "slaughter ships," are mobile centers for mass DNA harvesting. Like troop transports, processors appear to be remotely operated by sapient Reapers.

Um, cool, but is there any source for this?

The leak.

What are you guys going to do about that, anyways? Stuff's changed since it was written, so it's definately not known features. Throw it all in rumors? Ignore it?

When you finish the game, can you pick up afterwards like in ME2 or is it done-done, like ME1?

Ignore it. Partially because I'd rather not be spoiled too much, and well, you know, the sources aren't really official. We know that at least one mission of it is different in the .tlk file and the actual game which the reporters have played.

To those who want to post spoilers...Why???? We want to play the game and you've ruined it. You are nothing but a bunch of trolls that have soured the experience for those who want to enjoy the game fresh.

Can anyone inform me/ link me to a confirmed characters page? I can't find one and the one in Mr. or Mrs. Phaedons page takes me somewhere else.

Casey Hudson said most major characters (crew, allies etc.) from the prequels will make an appearance (some bigger, some smaller).
Or do you mean confirmed sqaudmates?

I'd imagine it would be like ME2 so you can play DLC that may take place after the game.

^Yes, you can continue to play ME3 once you finished main story, just like in ME2.

Wait a minute, if the Reapers attacked Earth at the beginning of the game, then how the frig they know where Earth was? I think Cerberus may have tipped off the location of Earth to the Reapers. Way to go for being a pro-human faction.

Casey said that Mass Effect 3 is a war story. There will be no "permanent" squad mates like in ME or ME2.
Just check out a bioware pulse episode. I think he made an interview there with this question.

That being the case, the confirmed sort-of-permanent squadmates are:  Ashley/Kaidan, Liara, Garrus, Tali and Vega, with I believe one or possibly two additional ones not yet named.

might be the wrong place to ask this, but i hope you guys will anyways. Will the release of the game on origin be a midnight release? Considering i already have to wait 3 extra days (lousy europe) i would be nice to get it at midnight.

It's probably too early to tell.

Where in Europe are you? Some countries get it on the 8th and then break the street date by a day. My local GameMania store (Antwerp, Belgium) usually sells games a day before they're supposed to.

The Reapers put the mass relays in those systems a long time ago. Prepping the entire galaxy (at least the systems with a relay in it) for their galactic extinction cycles. It stands to reason they mapped the entire galaxy when they did this, simply looking in their databases where Earth is.

If that wasn't enough, they can probably tune in on extranet transmissions, much like Legion and the other geth. Finding out pretty much everything that isn't classified by just checking the extranet. Earth's location is not classified..
