I know I was making a mod callled "Rise of the Steam Pirates" but thats indefinitely postponed. At least until I can be bothered to scrap the whole thing and do it all over. It was my first mod I'd worked on, and things got a little out of hand. It was very unorganised and when it come to testing no matter what I did I could not flush out the flaws.
Eragon is the tale of a poor farm boy who finds a strange blue stone, which he believes will buy him meat to last the winter. But the stone ends up bringing troubles instead. When it turns out to be an egg, and a dragon hatches from it, he is suddenly thrust into a preilous new world of destiny, magic and power. Can Eragon take up the mantle of the Legendary Dragon Riders? That fate of the Empire may rest in his hands...
Now please no one criticise the book itself. While I do believe people when they say that many of his words are in incorrect context and sentences, oddly constructed. Plus the writings kinda incomplex and simple. All that aside, I actually still have a lot of fun reading it.
I have began creating it already, so far done 40 pages of story. The mod is based off the BOOK not movie. Some of the dialogue is word for word out of the novel, while i also added my own to explain things that could not be otherwised (like backstory) and to give the mod a little more RPG feeling to it. Also it would be impossible to do it word for word as there would not be enough action in it.
I'll need a few hakpaks of course. I don't know when, I was meant to get it ages ago, but my friend's got diamond edition and he's meant to be installing it on my PC. It will be bettween June and December. If I don't get it buy the time I finish this mod, this won't require expansions. I guess I'll just have to describe them going across the desert when they do, (Not much happens when they are in the desert anyway) if I don't get it by then.

Mountain tileset
Blue baby dragon
Thats all I can think of for now. Anyone know where I could find those two?And what do you think of the concept of this mod?
I'm adapting Eragon to a NWN modules -Need hakpaks :P

I've never tried working with it myself but this could be of interest to you:

What was it you've found? The Dragon Pack by Storvik? There's also Dragon Eggs & Hatchlings, although it's listed as SoU. If you get the Diamond Edition and 1.69 (you can buy it for 10 bucks at GOG.com btw), you can also scale down the big dragon models to make them tiny. Or you could consider using CEP which I believe has wyrmlings, too.
Also check out this.
I never read the books or watched the movie and I'd give your module a try but it's probably safer and possibly also more exciting to create something original. This *could* cause copyright issues - not saying that it will, there's lots of other protected stuff that noone cares about - but *if* the right owners complain and you have to take it down, all the effort might have been for naught. Just so you know a certain risk is always involved in dealing with copyrighted material.

Why not movie? The movie was superb! (If one hasn't watched it then the joke is unexplainable:P)

The general advice is to use new tilesets or enhanced standard ones(CEP), because Bioware ones got boring really quickly for everyone. That is not the case in the premium modules tilesets(1.69 patch) or even some of the HotU and SoU. Just don't use rural, city etc.

@Olie, I actually already downloaded Rocky Mountain xD I understand the risks btw, this is more a personal goal for me so I can get better at making mods. When I finish creating this I will do either 3 things. 1) If people like my mod, and it doesn't get taken down by right owners, I will make it's sequel, Eldest
2)If people don't like it, or it does get taken down, I begin remaking Rise of Steam Pirates

That link you showed me "Eragon Module" I already found that ages ago. But it was a proposition someone made in 2004 asking for help to make the mod. I don't think he ever got to it. Oh the dragon pack may be suitable enoguj. Btw, will people playing my mod also need the erf file?

@Olie the dragon pack is EXACTLY what I need, as Saphira doesn't grow her full size right away. By the end of Eldest she still hasnt finished grown.
Only problem with the hakpak is It seemed to get rid of dire rat and normal rat models. I had used rats in my moduel, now I need to replace them all. It's a shame, my cave doesn't feel right without those rats.

I was gonna use Pariots but... THEY GONE TOO ! xD
It seems several small critters have disappeared. Only ones I know have are rats and pariots.
Not to mention it crashes my game. Its not exactly what I need afterall D:
Is there another hak that resizes dragons?
Edit: Nah scratch that. It was just one area. A corrupted sound object. All my areas are now 100% working

I don't have enough experience with haks to judge any of this (and especially not with these particular ones, I just found them on NWVault) but you should keep in mind that using content made for versions prior to 1.69 may in some cases lead to problems when you're using 1.69. From what I hear, the patch made some significant changes that might occasionally cause incompatibility with older stuff that hasn't been updated to 1.69 (and horses are a 1.69 thing, if I'm not mistaken).
The dragons overriding the rats could probably be fixed by editing the appearances.2da. Just a guess, someone more tech-savvy from the Custom Content forum might be able to help you with that.
Btw, if you're already using 1.69, you should be able to scale down the default dragons without adding any haks. In order to do this, you have to open the creature's property window and on the "Basic" tab change its appearance to one of the "Invisible" options, e.g. "Invisible_Dragon_20" (this will shrink the creature in question to a size that's only 20% of your average dragon). Then switch to the "Appearance" tab and click on the "Tail" menu. Here you get to choose the shrinked creature's appearance. Scroll down and select the dragon of your choice (make sure you don't just select one of the default dragon tails but a complete appearance, they're a bit further down the list). Click OK and you've got your dragon shrinked to 20%.
In the same way you can also enlarge creatures. It should work on all default models except for those you can customize (e.g. you can't craft an individual human NPC, equip it with items and then shrink or enlarge it, but you can do it with a pre-made human model like BioWare's Beggar or Boy or whatever).

Lol maybe... but so far I've got a mountain tileset, a tower tileset, goatmen, cowfiend, fox humanoid, and a whole variety of animals (weasles, ancient dires, otters, foxes, turtles etc) and so far the hakpak is 100mb. I realize I did not want the hakpak to be too big, so I'm trying not to download any unnessessary hakpaks to add to my main one, to avoid a too big of a download.
Which reminds me, if you've read Eragon, you'd know the only special creatures are the elves drawves, dragons and urgals. (Unless I missed on out) therefore, for the sake of my variety in monters and sideplots, I've expanded the story a little bit and changed the races and monsters of the world.
Btw, current progress: I've just done the "Prelude" part, where the PC finally leaves Carvahall.
Which reminds me, if you've read Eragon, you'd know the only special creatures are the elves drawves, dragons and urgals. (Unless I missed on out) therefore, for the sake of my variety in monters and sideplots, I've expanded the story a little bit and changed the races and monsters of the world.

Im just posting because I havent been on in a month, that I am still working on this project
"Prelude" is finished (Before Eragon leaves his hometown) I am in the process of repetitive testing to remove it's bugs. Unfortunately it wont be as good quality as the rest of the mod, due to the fact I made several duplicates of rooms so that I could have time moving, it was a nightmare putting it together. (Thankfully the rest of the mod I won't need to do that) When you finish the prelude you will straight away notice this. Like, I have various wildlife roaming around, life happening in towns etc after the prelude.

My friends got my Diamond Edition, btw, I dont know how long it'll be till I get it. Once I do I'll play through the two new campagins as fast as possible then resume this.
