Husk mobs. Husks are shown to be brittle by the fact that they explode when their lower body is shot. Despite this, they can hit a guy in full armor hard enough to break through shields and kill him without shattering their arms. First off, when you get punched, unless you're a complete wimp with no martial arts training, you don't fall back on your heels off balance. That's one of the first things they teach you in most self defence classes. you're supposed to lower your center of gravity and turn your side to face the enemy. If armed, you fire from whatever position is availible, if not, go for a vital area. with a husk all you should have to do is punch it in the face.

Second, a husk should not kill you. This is much more believable if it was considered incapacitation instead of death. If they went this route, using the squad system from star wars: republic commando would kick ass. that worked extremely well, even if it is relatively old.

still with the way they have everything set up now, the SWRC system would work by using medigel to revive incapacitated squadmembers, including yourself. as long as at least one person in the squad is up and you have medigel, you're still in the fight because they can revive you.

Husks are mindless and attack pretty well anything, they are bound together with some kind of electrical charging.

I'm not asking WHY they attack, just why their attacks have the fatal result they do.

But Shepard is the only one with Spectre training in the squad, therefore being the only one able to use Unity.

Because the game would be boring if they were a threat. That's all the reason you need, really.
