I still have it somewhere on my hard drive, but haven't been playing it for a while. Probably because I started the game as high elf mage and I hate elven mages, so... 
I still enjoy the game but only if I don't start the main quest so that these ugly gates don't appear during my lovely herb-gathering strolls.

I'm playing again right now...I finally got The Shivering Isles DLC (heard it has 100 hours play value in itself...and I'm loving it) and I'm at exactly 356 hours and 29 minutes.
I play without mods with difficulty at its highest.
My character is named Zelda (as an obvious tribute) and even though I'm a guy I'm a female Wood Elf Battle Mage with a side focus in Security. I'm a defensive Battle Mage though, although my magicka focus was in the School of Destruction.
I often wear enchanted rings, amulets and robes/mage shoes that focus in shield percentage, and with my enchanted elven longsword, Sovereign, in one hand (damage health 30%), Apotheosis (shock damage 33%, fire damage 33%, ice damage 33%....only an enchantment usage of 10 though), a list of hot key destruction spells at ready and my daedric Skeleton Key, I'm a force in the land of Cyrodiil and the plains of Oblivion.
I took care of Mehrunes Dagon, I'm helping out Sheogorath currently and ready to stand toe to toe with Malog Bal, if he wants any. But he doesn't, because he's a sissy.
My suggestion is to make a new character and name them after a character you want to pay homage to. Try to look like them, or your version of them as you want to experience it.
Im going to start a new character soon and I'm thinking about "being" Sauron.

I'm playing Morrowind...does that count? I never bought Oblivion, I hated the concept of level scaling. Nothing feels less epic than being high level with powerful gear and still having to take your time to kill early level trash monsters.
I'm really hoping Skyrim fixes this...and I hope it doesn't have Cliffracers too, I hate Cliffracers.

I think your cellmate in Morrowind, Jiub, hunted them to extinction or something. So they shouldn't be around.
Jiub was sainted for it.

I'm going to start another playthrough. I have all the DLC. I made a save file where I went straight to the Mage Spyre, ( can't rem the name, as it's been about a year ago ) and grinded for about a week, to max out the character with 100 in everything. Excp for 95 in luck. I only completed enough quests to fully upgrade the Spyre. Now when i want to play I can be any class, at any time in the game, and never worry about the scaling issue. I find it more fun to play with the weapon and spell altars, than doing the actual quests. There's something about enchanting a bow with fire damage in a 100 radi, and nukin' a cave, where EVERYTHING is blown all over the place. I usually become a vampire as soon as possible. DAMN! I'm gonna play it right now!

I was a bit late starting..had already bought Fallout 3 and Mass Effect and..etc
Trying to get through it before Skyrim comes out. Only 80 hours in, reached level 17 closed 32 Oblivion gates, become arena champion, need to get blood of a god...etc

I was playing it again a few months back. I've jumped into it many times in the years since it came out. Funny part is I have yet to finish the damn game even once. I get so caught up in exploring, mods, and other fun stuff that I keep getting burned out before I get far on the actual plot.
