A Widow shot between the eyes makes sense for a one-hit-kill ....considering the fact that the info on it says it would tear a mans arm off if he tried to use it...Shep gets away with it I guess because of his Cerberus cyber bits.

I wouldn't mind snipers if I can see their spotting lasers.

what happened to more options v.v these are like exactly the same. Nothing like ME 1s and entirely like mE 2s with more slots :/ i'm kinda sad now
I didn't mind them at all. Games are too easy nowadays.lazuli wrote...

I have nothing against properly balanced one-hit-kills for the player, but I didn't like the enemies with one-hit-kills in ME1.

Does anyone else share my concern over the news that ME3 is going to have a lot more melee...aka CQC?

Notice that you can improve individual aspects of skills now, not just level 1, 2, 3, and a choice between two evolutions.
In the video that those were screencapped from, it's demonstrated that you can use points to improve different aspects of each power at each level. So, you pick a power to upgrade, say, Concussive Shot, and you can focus on upgrading either the cooldown, damage done, or the force (in newtons). Or if you're upgrading your passive, you can choose whether to focus on boosting paragon/renegade points, your health, your weapon damage, your cooldown, and so on. This is kinda like the end-of-tree evolutions you got in ME2 - but you get to do them at each individual level.darth_lopez wrote...

Can you actually improve the individual aspects?
Or is it just displaying the individual aspects in a more obvious and less "here's some numbers" way?
Do you have a source or are you just presuming based on the way it's shown? I mean, I totally hope you're right, that would be amazing, but I'm not sure I've seen evidence for that yet.

Check out this gallery. Scroll down to the "Shepard skills overview." Search for the text I put in quotes to jump to it. The highlighted power is Combat Mastery, and then there seem to be different aspects to be chosen for improvement. I will admit that this doesn't confirm anything, though.

Actually, Jesse Houston himself during a gameplay preview confirmed that you can customize each attribute of each power, at each level of the power.

I agree.
I always thought it ruined the feel for the snipers; instead of being
hidden away in a snipers nest some where and posing an actual threat,
they basically were like, "If i dont have this really really bright
laser sight, I will never be able to see where my bullet will
go."
Assassination laser sight tp see snipers, you'd have been utterly
massacred on most levels.
